1. Opening Range & First P FVG
The London Opening Range (1:30–2:00 AM) sets the day’s first balance zone.
The First FVG that forms after a liquidity run and displacement becomes the key reference as the First P FVG
To qualify it:
• It must result from a liquidity sweep (above or below a swing).
• It must show clean displacement.
• It’s the active FVG of the session.
If the first imbalance inside the OR is BISI and it’s bearish it often (90%) acts as an Inversion FVG.
Price returns to its CE (midpoint), respects it, and resumes direction — a strong anchor signal.
⸻
2. London → New York: Liquidity Flow Continuation
After London, the New York open Kill Zone (7:00–9:00 AM) takes over.
Price often raids the buy-side around 6:30, leaving the sell-side intact — the classic pre-drop setup.
7:00 AM is when the algos wake up.
Each instrument has its own engine, but they all sync within this window.
Typical setup:
• Buy-side run (false breakout / “turtle soup”)
• Bearish shift in market structure below swing low
• Bearish FVG (CE acting as resistance)
• Aggressive run to the sell-side
⸻
3. False Breakouts Logic
False breakouts or turtle soups almost always precede clean directional moves.
This isn’t Linda Raschke’s 20-day pattern — it’s the intraday, time-based version built on liquidity grabs.
Core idea: every low-resistance liquidity run starts with an opposite liquidity raid.
⸻
4. Discipline & Risk Logic
Opening Ranges aren’t signals — they’re high-probability frameworks.
They structure the day around fixed time windows:
• London: 1:30–2:00 AM
• New York: 7:00–7:30 AM
• Indices: 9:30–10:00 AM
Identifying FP FVGs within these keeps you aligned with market logic, away from revenge trades, and focused on the dominant liquidity draw.

FOMC lesson:
The second move can come at 3:00 PM, not just 2:30 PM.

• Price often dips below yesterday’s close
• Immediate rebalances can be very sharp
• In strong weeks, Thursday pullbacks are common before moving higher

@I_Am_The_ICT Post 1
This week I learned:
• Grading Daily premium wicks and FVGs matter near ATH
• Don’t call the top too soon
• A deep pullback doesn’t always mean reversal
