The industry I was part of began calling for the extermination of my brothers and sisters while hospitals were bombed, journalists were killed, and children were blown up day after day. And this was the popular opinion for a very long time after October 7th. That the retaliation should be extermination. I was in shock and at first I was afraid to speak up because I felt I had something to lose. That feeling killed me and I did what I could silently donating until I found a charity I could actually trust. I did not want to be a coward any longer. I wanted to set up a crowdfunder so others could help and so I could speak openly about the cause. I flew to Jordan with the team and saw the work myself. In March 2024 I announced it by posting wallet addresses people could donate to. I never expected it to grow this large, but I knew every dollar helped. It was purposeful: Putting my entire reputation behind it and providing clear evidence of distributions. To date, we've raised $2,129,857 across 977 unique donors with a high average of $1,394. We've distributed millions of litres of water, thousands of hot meals, hundreds of food parcels, sponsored hundreds of orphans, medical suppliers and more. Set up medical clinics, makeshift schools, property waqf, trained mothers to generate food for themselves and have multiple bigger projects in the works. And we still have money to distribute. Crypto is where I came from and where I made my money. Beyond the money culture, the core ethos of crypto is owning your money and using it as you choose. Our largest anonymous donor has given over $500K. Try doing that through a bank while telling them you are donating to Gaza last year. They would deny it, likely shut you down, and report you. Setting up a pipeline for people to donate in Crypto unlocked the ability for people who want to donate but can't to help. Many people think it is over now. They believe the ceasefire means the killing has stopped. That is not the reality. Even if it were, trauma on that scale does not heal quickly. I have spoken to people who have seen their entire family line killed in the past two years. Imagine losing your parents, siblings, cousins, everyone. The Palestinians still need your help.
