Zoe Daniels

Carmel Gat, an Israeli hostage who spent over 320 days held in captivity by Hamas. Carmel was an occupational therapist. She used her OT skills in captivity to help others. This week she was murdered days before she would have been rescued. May her family be comforted.

Grateful to @NHSEngland for this free gene testing programme for anyone with a Jewish grandparent. As an Ashkenazi Jew, 1/40 of us have the faulty BRCA gene compared with 1/250 of the general UK population. Aiming to only increase the research options, prevent and cure cancers!

It was great last week to facilitate with @CMcahp a 2 day @westlondonnhs AHP work experience programme for school pupils. We've had great feedback about the interactive elements and exposure to multiple AHP careers. Onto the next one in July!

It's #HatsOnForHope Day, a chance to raise awareness as #BrainTumourAwarenessMonth comes to an end. In 24 days, I'll be taking part in the London Marathon in my Mum's memory - despite the statistics there is not enough funding into research in this area. tinyurl.com/ZoeMarathon

Had a productive study day focusing on my Sensory Integration Pgdip at @JamiPeople Headroom Cafe - an excellent cafe and community hub offering so much support to the local community, reducing the mental health stigma and creating a meaningful sense of purpose.

Today begins #BrainTumourAwarenessMonth... As you may have seen I will be completing the London Marathon this year in memory of my Mum who passed away from a glioblastoma. Over the next month I hope to raise better awareness about the awful disease.
