I’m about to buy a miner to mine Kaspa and just let it run and never touch it. Regardless if I’m getting paid or not. I care about securing the network that is all..
Any recommendations for a good miner ?

In words, we successfully mined Kaspa and ZKas at the same time. It worked smoothly - merged mining is ready. We are working on consensus updates and improving online wallet, we also pushed first releases of the android wallet. We will let you now once all is usable.
