An old friend messaged me the other day. After the usual catching up, he asked a question many people wonder but don’t always say out loud:
“Why do you still support Congress?”
I paused before replying. Not because I didn’t have an answer, but because I wanted to give him an honest one.
I told him… it’s not about “still.”
It’s about why I do.
I support @INCIndia because I believe in the idea it stands for an India that belongs to everyone, not just a few. An India where differences are respected, not weaponised.
Yes, the party has had its ups and downs. What institution hasn’t? But I don’t judge it only by its moments of weakness, I look at the foundation it helped build. The Constitution, the democratic framework, the space for every voice to exist… these didn’t happen by accident.
And then there’s @RahulGandhi.
I told him, what stands out to me is not perfection, but intent. In a political climate full of loud claims, here is someone willing to listen, to walk among people, to ask questions, even if they’re uncomfortable. That, to me, is strength, not weakness.
I said, I don’t support politics that divides people into “us” and “them.” I support politics that reminds us we are one.
He asked me, “But do you really think it can make a difference today?”
I replied, change has never been instant. But it always begins with people who refuse to give up on the idea of a better, fairer country.
For me, supporting Congress is not blind loyalty. It’s a conscious choice to stand for unity over division, dialogue over noise, and hope over cynicism.
I ended the message by telling him:
“I don’t support Congress because it’s perfect.
I support it because I still believe in the India it stands for.”

Hindus in Hindu Rastra
A student who appeared for the CET examination at the center in Krupanidhi College, Madivala, Bengaluru, says, "I went to the center around 9.40 am. I kept the bag in the room and they didn't allow me because they saw my 'Janeu'. They started telling that you have to remove it. If you don't remove, we can't allow you to write the exam...Around seven students were also asked to remove their Janeu. We had no option so we removed it...I felt very sad. I could not write the CET exam properly.

My response to Honble President of USA calling India as a ‘HELL HOLE’
Why does leadership in the US is visibly reactive, while India seen measured?
Is it a civilizational mindset?
The Bhagavad Gita teaches us to stay balanced in success and failure, respond, not react
You can often see this reflected in our approach: ( sometimes trolled)
It is less noise, more calibration
less impulse, more patience
Controlled outrage, more positioning
Even when provoked or labelled harshly, responses are rarely emotional—they’re mature.
(As seen in this)
It’s about inner stability shaping outer policy?
In a world full of reactions, composure is power, not a sign of weakness. ( does not exclude exceptional circumstances)
😇🙏🤝

The shamelessness of @Lenskart_com even after the outrage, see how blatantly they are advertising their products. This is just 3 days back! @peyushbansal is running a full fledged Jehadi outfit looks like, and Hindus continue to fund them!

To every elected official, civic leader, and public voice who has spoken out against the President's recent remarks targeting Indian and Chinese immigrants — thank you.
Your clarity in this moment is both necessary and appreciated.
But I must, respectfully, ask a harder question: Where were you before today?
For more than eighteen months, Indian Americans , permanent residents, students, and visa holders alike have endured a steady current of dehumanizing rhetoric.
We have been caricatured as threats to the American workforce, mocked for our accents, blamed for housing costs, and reduced to stereotypes on platforms with audiences in the millions. Much of it passed without comment from the very leaders now stepping forward.
Condemning a single presidential post is important. But the climate that produced it was not built in a day, and it will not be dismantled by a single statement. If the word "hellhole" is what finally moved the conscience of our political class, then let it also mark the beginning of a sustained commitment , not the end of a news cycle.
Indian Americans contribute to this country as physicians, engineers, entrepreneurs, educators, soldiers, and public servants. We do not ask for special treatment. We ask only for the same dignity, and the same consistency of defense, afforded to every other community when it is targeted.
So to those who spoke today: thank you, sincerely. To those who have been silent for the past eighteen months: we welcome your voice now, and we will remember who chose to use it and when.

Hellhole? Say that to our face not from a podium your system built on immigrant labour still depends on.
You want to insult Indians while your hospitals run on us, your tech is coded by us, and your boardrooms are increasingly led by us? Pick a lane.
You talk assimilation, we talk results.
We didn’t beg for space in America, we earned it, outperformed, and made ourselves indispensable for u guys!
And geopolitically? While some of you rage online(LOOK AT THE COMMENTS OF THIS POST)your own establishment is busy shaking hands with India wrt defense, tech, supply chains because YOU need that partnership.
India isn’t here for your approval.
We’re a civilisation state rising on its own terms. Get used to it.

We are deeply disturbed by @POTUS sharing this hateful, racist screed targeting Indian and Chinese Americans. Endorsing such rants as the president of the United States will further stoke hatred and endanger our communities, at a time when xenophobia and racism are already at an all time high. We ask @realDonaldTrump to reconsider, delete this post & recognize the indelible contributions of Asian Americans to our great country.
