Congratulations to Asifa Bhutto and her party for her "unopposed" victory but not so democratic victory. It seems the PPP doesn't just endorse mandate theft, they like to win opposed by having their opponents threatened, abducted or worse. PTI's Ghulam Mustapha Rind's papers were first rejected and then he was abducted to clear the way for our "First lady". May she do better once in parliament than has been done to get her to parliament. Democracy, unfortunately for the PPP is a synonym for revenge. I do hope she will raise her voice for constitutional supremacy because so far the self proclaimed flag bearers of the constitution are silent. A letter written by SIX high court judges, that would have rocked any civilised country has been responded to by whimpers from the executive, silence from the PPP and other government parties and a homeopathic action by the Supreme Court!

Overall FM Zardari was impressive in his interview on India Today. He was particularly superb on Kashmir. Glad he also raised Kulbhushan Jhadav and Samjhota Express blast. The way Jaishankar reacted in his press conference only reflected his hubris and frustration
