If this is even remotely true then Crimson Desert sounds unbelievably tedious to play. Good time to emphasize that it's fine to decide a game isn't for you without playing it, and that this is completely different from pretending to like it.

@revenant_MMXX Wrong. Good open world games gives you access to a variety of things. If aren’t skilled enough for a section you’re at you’d be able to explore the map and go somewhere else. Doing tedious nonsense to grind to get through an area you’re not ready for is not the way

Right, because how else do you fill the vastness of the world? Conventional games with zones or actual level design just get to the point. Open world has to fill the gaps between with something. This meme is incomplete because the empty space has chores in between the substance:

I didn't have a PlayStation as a kid, so I didn't play FF7 until well into adulthood. I have no nostalgia for it and no clouded childhood memories of it, and I still think it's one of the most beautiful RPGs ever made. Square-Enix showed massive conceit by remaking it.
