When Jared Jones comes back, the #Pirates should go to a 6-man rotation. Braxton Ashcraft is ~7 innings shy of last years MLB total. Jones is coming back from injury. Mitch Keller typically blows up in the second half. Would be beneficial to everyone in that rotation.

@HurstBraeden @MartyL_53 Yeah but we need a shortstop for the future we have the pitching to trade Skenes. Skenes trade would bring so much more than griffin I don’t even think it’s close. And you trade pitching for hitters that’s how it works

@MartyL_53 Murakami was a super bad miss in free agency… love Lowe but they won’t keep him. I rather them keep him over Cruz. I don’t think they are super far off they definitely need more power… CATCHER and 3rd killing the team and the trash bullpen but that can be fixed pretty cheap

If Ozuna doesn’t figure it out by the time O’Hearn is back in mid June, and The Password performs, I think there’s a very real chance the Pirates cut ties and make Garcia the everyday RF, O’Hearn everyday 1B, and give Horwitz the DH spot. Would help the defense immensely too.

This is really devastating news for a team already reeling. Losing the bat of O'Hearn is immeasurable.
It just really feels like this season is about to spiral out of control and if Ben Cherington doesn't work the phones and bring in bullpen help, stick a fork in them. Very bad.

If Bubba Chandler struggles in his next start, which would be Friday, May 22nd vs Blue Jays in Toronto, then optioning him to AAA should be the decision.
Jared Jones is eligible to be activated off the IL on the 26th, so a Chandler demotion would be the corresponding move.

@BogeyLife1 I do think when jones comes back Carmen will be a great late inning guy… they can still save the season it’s only may… couple bullpen additions soon will help.. they should be close to a 30 win team and in first place

Not a good team, we gotta stop saying this. A team entails a good offense which they have, a good starting pitching staff which they have, but no bullpen. Theyre not a good team, they have good areas.

Ben Cherington’s horrible awful no good very bad bullpen has a chance to ruin this entire Pirates season. WTF is he talking about when he says these guys will get better. Most of them have never been good. Need trades and reinforcements ASAP.
