Dernière représentante de l’école humaniste, incarnée par Robert Doisneau, Willy Ronis, Édouard Boubat ou Brassaï, Sabine Weiss, née en 1924 en Suisse, occupe une place unique au sein de la photographie française. Pendant près de soixante ans, elle a exploré une grande variété de domaines. Marcheuse curieuse invétérée, elle a dédié beaucoup de ses photographies au petit peuple de Paris. Son œil magique s'est fermé en 1995.
