@ProofreadJulia @TheVikingDane Well, you've sent me down a grammar rabbit hole I never expected to fall into. I vaguely remember learning about split infinitives, but clearly that knowledge decided to quietly leave my brain years ago!

@TheVikingDane Actually there's nothing wrong with split infinitives per se. 'Should of' should be punished by a sharp telling-off. And one of my particular bugbears is using a preposition to end a sentence with. (Did you see what I did there?😉)

I might do a poll of the most irritating grammar or spelling "errors" ever..... Would the winner be: 1. "Should of" 2. Color, etc 3. Oxford comma 4. Split infinitives... Etc 🤔🤔🤔😂😂😂😂

@AntheaFleurs @MrPBee I agree. We are nearly next-door neighbours. The wind ripped-off the roof from the garage and literally chucked it over the house. The granny flat roof is damaged, and with the rain and the wind no one can get on to the roof for a temporary fix.
