She shows in a retail store, a worker is assigned to follow her around and make sure she doesn’t steal anything
No matter where she walks, the Chinese worker follows
According to real FBI crime statistics, the likelihood of a black person stealing from a store is over 10x higher than a Chinese person stealing from a store

Call me crazy, but arresting a soldier for insider trading when Congress have been doing it for decades seems like a double standard.
If we won't arrest politicians for it, then the soldier should be free too.

Free him and drop the charges. Don’t want troops to bet on their own success? Then tell them and lay out clearer rules. It’s all basically the Wild Wild West right now. I also have no issue with them betting on their success. If the mission failed he would have lost his $, right?

I think this guy should be pardoned.
If the DOJ isn’t prepared to go after every member of Congress who’s profiting off insider trading, then this feels like selective enforcement, not justice.
I don’t support what he did, and he should absolutely have to give back every dollar he made. But holding one person accountable while others get a pass undermines the idea of equal justice under the law. @POTUS should make this decision at his discretion not the DOJ.

Maybe not a popular take but I am calling for this guy to be pardoned. Unless the DOJ plans on going after all the crooks in congress currently insider trading, this is simply skewed justice. There is no “justice” when guys like this get the book thrown at him yet members are illegally profiting every day.
I don’t agree with what he did and he should be required to disgorge all the profits however, unless the DOJ plans on doing Congress next, this is not justice.
