@JohnOwning This is awesome! I’ve been a fan of his for a while. Definitely agree with you that he’s an outside cb. Going to continue to beat the drum for Avonte Maddox as a slot cb option for them. Limited snaps last year and he’s frequently injured, but the guy can absolutely play.

Overall, he's a really solid fit for DAL as one of the outside CBs. Don't think he's a great fit to play the slot in DAL due to his lack of size and subpar ability to fit the run from in/around the box, but I think he provides good depth if DAL drafts a CB but can also be counted to be a starter if need be.

New #Cowboys CB Cobie Durant is a solid cornerback who sets a nice floor for DAL at CB. He does his best work from squat/off coverage, where he can play top down and drive on short-to-intermediate passes. On two-to-one reads or against bunches, he can be a tick slow to relate to vertical receivers as his processes the route distribution. Also, due to his lack of size, he can get pushed around a bit out of the break. Still, he's feisty at the catch point, has good ball skills and understands his responsibilities well in the defensive structure.

Coming off having one of the worst defenses of the 21st century, the Cowboys replaced Jadeveon Clowney with Rashan Gary, added a really good safety in Jalen Thompson, traded Osa for a 3rd round pick, and traded Solomon Thomas to move up 7 spots in the 7th round
