On this day in 1931, Congress passed a law that allowed for the creation of the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled, which is part of the Library of Congress. Here’s a look at one of the ways NLS still provides free books for patrons: Audiobook recording!






As a Baltimorean, it was an honor to throw the ceremonial first pitch at the @orioles @nationals game in celebration of Nat’l Book Festival Day. It was a pinch me moment to receive tips from Hall of Famers Jim Palmer and Cal Ripken Jr and the support of Os owner David Rubenstein.
