@Zachyourbloom @embashira_ @ShaudL_ I dont think the amount of his backstory shown even matters the idea Gege wanted to push with Kashimos character is clear, any more harping on his backstory (although it would be cool) would just become redundant and JJK does well in terms of subverting normal shonen redundancies

@8007Myth @embashira_ @ShaudL_ I would have been way more seated within that conversation if we saw more of kashimo in a edo flashback. His backstory was cut way too short. With sukuna we got to same way more of the heian era.

Within the only blow they exchanged you got to see both of the "strongest" views on unrivaled strength and how their actions line up with said mentalities (somewhat, sukuna is complex)

@cresent2792555 @ShaudL_ The problem with kashimos character for me is if he was way to strong or if the edo period was just that weak. Nothing in story shows the edo period being that crazy with the exception of ryu ishogori.

@Zachyourbloom @embashira_ @ShaudL_ You missed the whole point and I recommend you reread his final moments to see what the point of his character was. Being isolated by strength is a recurring theme in the series (Gojo, Toji, Sukuna, Kashimo, Ryu etc.)
