Solid baseball game for the Blue Devils tonight. Carter with a brilliant performance on the mound. Complete game shutout on 8Ks 2BB 1 hit on under 100 pitches. Dash with a 3 run dinger. AJ with lots of offense. Shutout of the Warriors with solid D. (2-2)( 2 -1)

Has anyone ever opted out at the halftime of a bowl game? I can’t remember someone doing it. Cam Ward did it today at the Pop Tart Bowl.

@ZackBame @OncoAdvocate @adamgorney What’s more impressive, IU winning 11 games against their schedule or Bama winning 9 against theirs? I’m not sure either team should have been there. Wins matter, who they beat matters a lot.

Kirk Herbstreit is not saying the regular season doesn’t matter. He’s not saying wins and losses don’t matter. He’s saying anyone who watches the sport and has the semblance of a clue can see Ole Miss and Alabama are better than Indiana and SMU.

Correct. Quality wins matter over an upset loss. Very very simple but Americans on the whole lack the ability to use basic logic. IU beat zero teams in the top 30 and were smoked by the two top ten teams they played yet everyone is upset when Kirk and others point out IU hadn’t accomplished anything to prove they were CFP level. The two losses further the point IU isn’t CFP level.

The football team played like crap, but Tennessee has one of the best fan bases in all of sports. 40,000 fans traveled to Columbus and bought up a huge amount of Ohio State’s season tickets. How many fan bases are strong enough to pull that off? Maybe four or five in the country.

@ClayTravis If you don’t lose 3 games you wouldn’t have that issue. I’m not sold the SEC is very good. I think they are overrated.

Alabama, Ole Miss and South Carolina would not be down 28-0 in the first half at Penn State right now. Zero chance.
