When I was about 30 years old I remember waiting at the bag claim of the DFW airport. I glanced to my right & my eyes immediately noticed just how desperately unhappy and miserable this 45 ish woman looked. A question I have never considered asking myself popped into my head. “When was the last time I saw a woman give a genuine smile. Tell a funny joke, or just uncontrollably laugh out loud at one”? The question seemed ridiculous. But surprisingly I couldn’t think of anything in recent weeks that came to mind. The Only thing I could come up with was my own theory that suggests women must lack certain DNA strands, or perhaps it’s because a woman’s brain is smaller so it cannot store as many dopamine receptors as a man. The most honest answer would be that they just aren’t intellectually stimulated, or secure enough to understand sarcasm. Pam, here is a perfect example of how a woman’s brain operates. It’s completely up for the task of making fun of everything, it’s completely on board for putting itself first. However, when it’s time to make fun of itself, or handle any pressure it finds offense and folds.
