They add realistic texture, muscle definition, and a subtle armored/Kryptonian-tech aesthetic that makes the suit look functional and three-dimensional under cinematic lighting, rather than a flat spandex onesie. This level of detail is exactly what has worked for countless successful superhero outfits, giving it visual depth, movement, and screen presence without sacrificing the strong color blocking or perfect fit. “Less is more” sounds nice in theory, but in practice, these lines make the costume pop on a big poster and will look better in motion.

These DCU costumes are being absolutely bottlenecked by those panel lines. The texture, fit and colours are great overall, but there's just SO many chunky lines holding it back. Less is more.

@ChannelDogYT Having basic padding on a suit does not make it bad.

Maybe it's too soon to judge, but I think we may need a change in direction for the DCU suits.

This trailer might be a masterpiece of trash ngl. The design, the drawn out Robotnik scene that isn’t funny, the child abduction joke at the end, the use of Gangsta’s Paradise (I’m still not over that), showing one of the final shots of the film at the end, it’s wonderful.

@Starlight_Skull That’s not proof that they were meant to be one skin. Official concept art doesn’t remotely show him and Lorenzo being the same. They weren’t even in the same survey together

FUN FACT: At one point in time Lorenzo and Renzo The Destroyer from Fortnite Chapter 4 were planned to be one single skin! However, this was scrapped in favor of separating them into 2 skins. Their concept art and in game similarities support that they were meant to be one skin!
