@abooker17 Disagree. “Eurosnobs” have always hated on MLS and always will hate MLS. MLS is fine on its own trajectory. I do agree, however, that the proposed rule change isn’t needed.

MLS is poor at attracting American soccer fans who wake up every Saturday morning at 7am to watch hours of European football, and that’s an audience they need to capture in this country. The last thing they should do is make the sport unrecognizable to the rest of the world.

@abooker17 This is just an attempt at putting in more advertising on TV, just watch how an NFL game takes 4 hours. A lot of us who wake up early hours in North America to watch English, Spanish, Italian etc football cannot take MLS seriously at this point.

@lawandchocolate North America has multiple time zones Alison. There are games that start at midnight in our time zone. Being able to buy beer at a sports bar at 3:30 am is not the same as injecting yourself with a needle in a tent you set up in a public park while starting warm with a bbq

@laligaandbeyond An absolutely superb manager, a lot of Athletic supporters were clamouring for him to be appointed once the current leadership stepped down.

People can be a bit sniffy at what Andoni Iraola has "achieved" but this is just another incredible achievement by him. At Mirandes he took them to a Copa del Rey semi final where they ran Real Sociedad pretty close having knocked out Villarreal and Celta. At Rayo he took them back up despite the chaos and stabilised them in LaLiga laying the foundations for the past two seasons. He's taken a club with the 16th biggest budget in the Premier League into Europe after 3 seasons of selling their best players. He's an incredible coach and for me one of the most underrated, he might not have a huge trophy cabinet but he's improved clubs and players everywhere he goes all while playing attractive football.
