This is deep, but I think this is where a lot of traders misunderstand the idea of “edge.” RR alone doesn’t create an edge, it only amplifies one. If the timing, liquidity understanding, and execution behind the setup is weak, a high RR just delays the inevitable drawdown. I’ve seen traders run 1:3 or 1:5 RR and still stay unprofitable for months, not because the math is wrong, but because the entries don’t truly have an edge in the market. At the same time, I’ve seen traders with lower RR stay consistently profitable because their timing and structure reading is precise. So the real question becomes Is RR the edge, or is it just a tool that exposes whether you actually have one? Curious to hear your perspective on this

Trading have been ruined by people who do not understand what trading is all about. It’s About Maintaining Consistent profitability Understanding your system and building and edge around Understanding the Average Risk to Reward for your System and building an edge around it Lower rr means you need a higher win rate to maintain profitability Higher rr means you do not need as much trades or win rate as someone with a lower rr Build your edge around that fact, If i Maintain the same risk percentage, If i Win 1 trade i can’t end up in a loss even if i lose the next 5 trades, Because my edge revolves around my risk to reward ratios. Trading is subjective But People Have Reconfigured it to wanting to see you fail that they’ll fail to recognize that Being a successful trader means building a system that safeguards you from being a loser even when you lose.

Deep this To get to a level where people respect you as a trader to tag you an “Idolo” You need to have made an impact somehow for an extensive period of time It doesn’t happen Overnight, The thing is People (Especially Nigerians ) hate successful people So the moment it seems your hard-work is starting to pay off, They hate you for it. They would rather them remain Poor and unsuccessful as long as you fail as well ,than rejoice in your wins or admit that for you to attain the level of success you have , you had to have been doing something right (Remember misery loves company). The sooner you disconnect from “Online” The better for you. What matters is how proud you are of yourself and achievements.

I’ll finally break silence to yesterdays bull traders Some of you are actually really stupid I swear to God And it’s not cause you’re buying It’s cause you’re upset someone else is selling ? What’s your business ? Can’t you post on your page ? Why stress another trader out “Close you trade “ “You’ll be liquidated “ “Set BE “ And not even in a playful manner When you be real life olodo . If I chop SL I’ll rest So why can’t you rest ?

What trading prop has taught me: It’s not about rushing the account it’s about lasting. Protect your capital, respect the drawdown, and let consistency do the paying. Stay disciplined long enough, and the payouts start to feel inevitable.

If you’re only profitable in calm markets but lose heavily or blow accounts during volatile conditions, then your edge is either incomplete or your risk management is poor🥂 A real edge should survive different market conditions or include rules that keep you out of bad conditions, not everyone must trade volatile conditions. Some traders complained that January PA was not really a good month, price action is somehow... they blew their accounts February came, they said February is worse, they still blew their accounts March came ,they started praying that March price action should never repeats itself... April, now they said Trump is just scattering all your analysis.😏 Ask yourself this question, DO YOU HAVE AN EDGE? If your system can’t survive volatility, your job isn't to abandon it but to Define when not to trade, or Adjust risk and execution for those conditions Well Very few of us traders can trade all market conditions the same way and still come out profitable, this is because they have been trading with that same system for years and they know how to adapt to different market conditions and still come out profitable... Most people don’t fail they quit too early. Progress feels slow, messy, and invisible. Some days it looks like nothing is working. But every effort stacks, even when you don’t see it yet. You don’t need motivation, you need consistency. Stay long enough for it to make sense.

Fear of not losing your account will make you lose that account Instead of being scared, prepare for the worst outcome and move further You’ll see how better you handle your account when unnecessary emotions are out of the way
