Something about a factory screams awe. That behind the single manufactured object in your hand it went through a myriad of locations, people, processing, and logistics to make its way to where it is from disparate resources.

Latest video of the mech that’s not really a mech, but an exosuit with a router for a head, the Goblin. Literally hack the planet.

There’s a lot of different settings and tropes of porting romantic fantasy elements (nobles, knights, monks) into sci-fi. What modern day thing or sci-fi concept would you have ported into a fantasy setting? Not just tech (still can be), but more societal/tradition, government.

What’s your take on “The good noble/tyrant” trope? Not necessarily your examples or plays off of it (though feel free to share), but is it a severe plague on any kind of fictional steep hierarchy? “Great power comes with great responsibility”, just political instead of super.

Something about inherited hi-tech in sci-fi, has the same vibe of passed down magic items. All the usual Clark tech explanations work sure, but where is passing down something mundane fit in? As in, why that feeling of passing a really cool torch.

This video series on Blades in the Dark is really fun. @Zaktact breaks everything down into easily-digestible and charming videos, covering aspects of the lore, setting, and style of the game. I'm really looking forward to watching more. youtube.com/playlist?list=…

My introduction to Lancer was under an hour ago with @zaktact's Horus video, which may have been the most confusing way to be introduced to the setting. Then they made the Alpha Legion comparison and it immediately clicked. I need more. youtube.com/watch?v=-JgAB1…

Can mech thighs save lives? The Black Witch license argues for it. Late announce, but haven’t touched Twitter in a bit.

Every 40k fan who thinks the Eldar are the worst should seriously look into the High Elves of Warhammer Fantasy, I get “Elf suck haha” but the Asur earn every single claim to greatness they have. Glory to the Phoenix King, glory to the Everqueen, glory to the line of Aenarion.

The Glittering Host, by Paul Dainton for the High Elves, 8th edition book. This particular version comes from one of the promotional sample pages of the book, from around April-May 2013, and is named Lords of Ulthuan there.
