@sanstitre2000 Like with the whole tracing over 3d thing. That's great if you already know how to draw X Y Z that you're tracing, but if you remove the 3d thing you trace and you suddenly become dogshit then it was a crutch not a tool.

@sanstitre2000 100% get where you're coming from. It's weird, people always go to professionals and deadlines which is very true! It's extremely reasonable these tools and any future tools are great for THOSE professionals. But most people using all these tools aren't professional

Hot take but I think past a certain point these nifty little crutches will harm your skills

@Zamoshvik @OsweltOrtiz I'll add that, if anything, i'm the biggest fan of my friends. Sure, I might not read, or like their stories like you said, but I wouldn't mind my gift be called a fanart, in the end, that what it is, a fanart. I genuinly think it was just some sort of egotrip

@KKreos @OsweltOrtiz Well that ultimately becomes an unfortunate reality for the person who GAVE the art. They clearly didn't intend it as "Fanart" if they got so stupidly tilted about it.

@egnillo @OsweltOrtiz See nah, that's the issue. Just because I'm homies with someone doesn't make me an automatic fan of their work! I'm homie's with foot fetishist and I HATE feet to my core. If I draw for them it's because I like them, not their content I make that separation.

I can say on the front of it that I'm not a furry, nor do I enjoy vore, but imagine I made a piece for you despite that fact. It wouldn't be because I'm your fan, it would be because I'm your friend

People talk about how you can be a "fan" of a friend, but nobody seems to be talking about when you're not a fan of your friends work, but you like them as a person.

@XJ_0_ @OsweltOrtiz Not saying this to be rude, but I never heard the phrase “giftart” as a term. I heard of “gifting someone art” or “giving art as a gift” but “giftart” feels like a very recently made up term

@OsweltOrtiz Like I got homies that I would do art for, but not really because I enjoy their work (If anything I'd say I dislike it) but I mess with them as people.

@OsweltOrtiz Yeah no, dw I don't think you're in the wrong or anything I just know for me there is like "The intent because I'm a fan of X person" vs "The intent to create a gift for a friend."
