Tbh im aware of kids but more for avoiding them or making sure no ones causing trouble. Worked as a sales worker in a home and kids department so im highkey aware of kids causing trouble but also ignore kids when they are being good. Idk how to explain it. Also idk WHAT it is about me but kids always try to kick my crotch 😭 16 y/o me was the only teen at a fam party and the kids wouldnt leave me alone so i tries being nice. for some reason kicking me became such a game i was in the middle of making myself a plate of food and two lil shits came inside to kick me! 😭😭 ITS LIKE THE VERSION OF A PUNCHABLE FACE OR SOMETHING

Maybe it's because I'm a woman, an older sister, or because I was a teacher for young kids, or maybe a mix of all 3, but when I'm out I'm always hyper aware of kids around me. Especially if it seems like a young kid is on their own without an adult. Maybe I just have a strong maternal instinct but I just can't see a kid on their own and then leave without making sure I see their parental guardian get them. Does anyone else feel that way?

Completely agree on the tone. Maybe announcing it 'can' be bad in some circumstances of course but same time, at least if i KNOW the collab partners, I like to sass my friends. If I dont know someone id be far more cautious and considerate. Regardless, Its not rude to me at least. hell if someone said they were turning me down id feel like I can be "louder" without being overbearing on others but eh.

Same, I’m just trying to hear everyone. Sometimes people also have different mic placement. If you’re not a streamer and just use a mic, one day it might be closer to your face, and the next day it could be further away. I think tone is really important. If you’re being an ass about it or rude, then obviously that’s different. But if you’re just saying, “Hey, can you give me a second? I just need to adjust your volume,” I don’t see anything wrong with that.

This is rude? If I’m streaming and someone is too loud on a discord call or just in a call with them. (Which is mostly my friends) I tell them I need a second because I may have their volume over 100% and need to turn them down because they’re a bit too loud on my end. 🤔
