Redrawing two aliens I drew for the first time a long long time ago. Let's name them. Spider and Glitch. Sure.
Spider is a wandering scrap seller who found Glitch lost at a space station. He searches space to find his parents, but needs to take dangerous jobs to get fuel money.

discourse about this game is getting a little spicy, but I think people are overthinking it.
It's a 4hr $18 game for people who like story games.
I don't like survival games but you don't see me talking about that all day on here.

MIXTAPE is short & supremely sweet. Distinctly 90s w/o overloading on nostalgia. A coming-of-age story that's bittersweet & charming- not contrived or sad. Only a few hrs long but it genuinely made me feel something. I love these scuzzy 7-11 kids. Real. Also it included one of my favorite songs so I may be biased lol

Gengar artworks by Aya Kusube from the 1999 Pokémon Tales book “Gengar’s Shadow” are so underrated. There’s something about that early style: simple, eerie, and full of personality, that hits differently.

@ZeTrystan I had seen that after I looked up Aya Kusube’s art actually, I have both cards but I wish there were more. Other cards by Aya definitely give the same vibe but I’m a huge Gengar collector so those are the best in my opinion!

So I've seen that recent post about the way Aya Kusube drew Gengar and Haunter in 1999, and I fell in love with the style.
So I wanted to try to replicate the artstyle with this little Pokemon illustration!

@ZeTrystan That's kind of the thing, I don't know some of my friends that much. And there's pretty limited furniture in the game so I have to create it otherwise.
I think I just need to stop making a 1:1 of my friends and allow them to be silly

I'm unsure on what to do next. I'm not much interested in the romance aspect of the game, and most miis here are friends so it feels off to make them date each other.
I should still try that though, the interactions are the crux of the game. I just wonder what to do to fix that

@ZeTrystan Is Legend Maker Haunter the closest thing we’ve ever gotten to this art style? Don’t recall any others of the two where the art was similar to these. Same illustrator for this card as that book.
