I genuinely think more games should be designed like Sekiro. Technically linear, but so intelligently constructed that it never feels linear Seemlessly Interconnected areas, verticality, and the diverging paths almost make it feel like you are never just going forwards

@KaiKai2492 It's like swords and guns, guns are better than swords so nowadays everyone uses guns instead of swords. however in a game, that's meant to be fun, adding a gun to a medieval setting, while cool at first, completely removes the swords from the medieval game in terms of balancing.

This argument has done irreparable damage to video game discussion on here. Games are built around mechanics, no mechanic exists entirely in a vacuum because they're designed to work off of each other and with the rest of the game in mind. This is why a lot of people don't understand why Halo players don't like sprint, it's not just "then don't use sprint" because now maps are larger for no reason to accommodate the faster movement and ADS speed is an added factor to the gameplay making it more of a twitch shooter. "The side quests are bad" - "You control the quests you do" "This weapon feels really weightless" - "You control the weapons you use" This mindset and any variation of it can be used to just justify any bad game design.

ryōshū's thoracalgia also works pretty well here but you'd have to take it over 4th match flame. Alternatively just unstable overclock/corrode into a strong E.G.O it'll probably work well enough at killing everyone
