Not the kids fault.
He's being destroyed by the moronic adults and coaches that allow the behavior.
Parents have to be the voice of reason.
The kids reaction is what he's been taught is acceptable.
The coach celebrating with him is the poison.
I hope a lot of parents took their kid off of this team. Not because of the kid. Because the coach advertised loud and clear that it's acceptable.

Baseball rewards the ones who keep showing up.
The ones who put in the extra reps when no one’s watching.
The ones who fail, adjust, and come back stronger.
Hard work doesn’t always show up right away…
But when it does — it’s everything you dreamed of.
Keep going. The game always gives back.

Immense baseball IQ play here from three of the best HWA(How to win awareness) guys in baseball) Very subtle play.
1) With 2 outs & a runner on 1B Hoerner keeps the ball in the infield & makes 180 spin throw to 3B.
2) Bregman realizes that there is no play at 3B & comes out to get the ball & redirects it to 2B.
3) Swanson fake cuts the throw to 3B & slows the runner(Wiemer) down enough to have a play at 2B.
4) After the fake cut Swanson retreats to 2B in time to get Bregman’s redirected throw for the 3rd out of the inning.
BE SURE TO EXPAND & SLOW THIS VID TO EXPERIENCE THE FULL AFFECT OF THIS PLAY

The hitter’s swings, foul balls, and takes give you a good idea of his approach. What do I mean?
Fastballs:
Is he late on the FB? Where are his foul balls? Pulled foul? Or over the opposite dugout? Or, is he taking them?
So, if late, this means that we pitch FB in, up, and expand down. If he’s taking them, he might be sitting strike offspeed.
Also, if he’s late on FB, be careful throwing a get me over strike offspeed pitch. You will be doing him a favor.
A good question to ask is, where can we go where his barrel can’t square the ball up?
Offspeed: is he pulling them foul? Are his takes good or bad? Does his swing look comfortable on the offspeed? Where does he chase?
A good tidbit to follow is that we should chase bad swings.
The best hitters in the world can make the adjustment pitch to pitch.
Most players, especially at the HS and below level, can’t do that. So if he takes a bad swing on a pitch, throw it again. If he takes it, throw a different pitch, then go back to bad swing pitch.
Another tidbit is that if the hitter fouls a ball straight back to the backstop, be very careful repeating that, because he just missed it.
Many more nuances to this but this is basic food for thought.

@JLucroy20 Can you expand on how you teach this concept to catchers? It's good to know what a hitter's deficiencies are, but that doesn't explain the proper way to sequence.

Baseball moves fast.
Your mind can move even faster.
That’s why great players take a breath.
A single deep breath can:
• Slow the game down
• Reset your focus
• Release tension
• Bring you back to the present pitch
Breathing isn’t relaxation.
It’s performance control.
Great coaches like @TexasBaseball pitching coach Max Weiner will coach their players to breathe to stay present.
Great coaches help players... Breathe → Reset → Compete

HS players…. Ready to play in college? Here is D1 program in Charlotte, NC today. 40 degrees and raining. Cold, wet and damp! On top of that, there game field is not done so they are practicing on a softball field. It’s all about toughness and doing whatever it takes! Yea, they have an indoor facility, which they were already in earlier in the morning @Queens_Baseball @Coach_JHendrick

If you love the game of baseball and competing.
and
You got cut from your high school team or are being told to play JV as a junior, you have some decisions to make.
Do you let this define your baseball career or do you become the best version of yourself?
Do you become relentless in your pursuit of strength, conditioning, athleticism, caloric intake and skill work or do you retreat?
Do you use this as fuel or do you let it retire you from the game you say you love?
You got cut or asked to play JV as a junior because you're not good enough or haven't sacrificed and invested enough, yes that's cruel, rude and nasty, but it's the truth.
Now you get to make a career defining decision, do you fight or flight?
Do you go all in or do you walk away?

Parents
If you have a playing time problem with your kids high school or travel ball coach, check these boxes before complaining.
1. Does my kid spend ten hours a week doing extra work?
2. Is my son addicted to strength and conditioning?
3. Does my son want this as bad as me?
4. Has my son performed?
5. Does my son compete in practice?
