Was discovered in 2016 when a collector/arcade preservationist known as ShouTime acquired the original unreleased prototype board in Tokyo. The ROM was subsequently dumped and preserved by the MAME team.
Btw, the game seems to be by HOT-B, running on Data East hw.

HANGZO is an unreleased arcade prototype, reminiscent of The Ninja Warriors or Hagane.
Developed around 1992, its exact origins are a mystery because there is no proper credits, though it runs on Data East arcade hardware, making it the most likely candidate.
It was recovered and preserved thanks to the emulation community.

@Zeebos2 @spnidelman That's really vague and I have no idea how it relates to difficulty, but I mean, yeah true lol

@APolygons2 @spnidelman taking shit personally, acting like ur life depends on it, basically being a childish fuck over videogames

@Zeebos2 @spnidelman What is considered "seriously"?
Cause the post just says playing games on hard is the problem.... which just implies wanting a challenge in your video game is some twisted insecurity or something lol

@APolygons2 @spnidelman its def fun but holy fuck some ppl take that shit so seriously its pathetic, coming from a mf that plays games on the daily

@spnidelman @Zeebos2 Whats sad is thinking wanting a challenge related to the thing you like doing is about "self worth".
Dude... NOTHING in media is as rewarding as overcoming a boss fight you were stuck on for hours.
Its fun.
