Alright, since like half of the comments about OPM s3
I am going to answer here and just copy-paste for future
No - if they hire me on OPM s3 - my cuts would not magically have saved the show, it just would not going to look better than it is already, because there is a core problem - the schedule is very bad. Most of people I see who worked on that season are not bad animators, they are just forced to struggle against very tight deadlines.
If you get some genius artist like Davinci and ask him to draw Mona Lisa in 15 minutes, he, surprisingly won't be able to draw Mona Lisa.
This problem touches OPM s3 from very beginning, they found only person who agreed to do it in a tight deadline (trailer director was another person, they have not started production back then, director leaves, they start to search for a new director)
And if he wouldn't agree - there would have been no season 3 of OPM at all. Anime is not really a source of money - it usually is made to sell manga, and in OPM case - the manga is extremely popular, so they do not really bother doing anime (thats why you have such a long breaks betweens seasons). Season 1 was insanely good, but it was driven by passion and had very similar resources (though they had a bit more time)
Technically, production committee could make OPM s3 gathering the talent by just buying them for huge money, but it is huge loss and big companies do not usually operate like that.
Streaming gives very low profit - most of the money comes from the screenings in cinema (as people do not buy blu rays anymore) - so thats why you see so many premieres of TV shows in movie theatres.
Unfortunately, That is just the reality, and its very unlikely to make something good even if I joined.
I would assume Mr. Nagai could've done amazing things if he was working on the show right from end of Season 2. But it seems that he started working on OPM s3 in 2025. You often see ambitious scenes that are done poory, because there is some talent involved in the show. But scenes need to go through sakkan, genga, genga sakkan, douga, shiage, satusei before actually make it to the screen. It is very difficult job to make all of those in a short time, but it would've been impossible without this organised system to make even anything in tight schedule.
