Someone asked me recently how I managed to study on my own and still make sense of some of the tougher concepts in CFA Level II. My answer came without hesitation: AI. ChatGPT was my lifesaver. I treated it like a reading partner, asking it to break things down until they finally made sense. My prompts sounded like: • Explain this concept to me like I am a child • I am struggling with this formula. Walk me through it step by step • Is there a simpler or more intuitive way to think about this • Explain this like I have zero finance background • What is the intuition behind this formula • Can you give me a real life example • Summarise this in five bullet points • How would you explain this in an interview • Turn this into a short story or analogy etc AI has become one of the most useful tools in my learning process. If you are not exploring it yet, you might be missing out.

@Sinteeaah Thank you for this😇 Pls I need your assistance with my essay for review I applied for the last window and wasnt awarded and I think from what I have read from you so far about the scholarship. I can point to some of the mistakes I made that probably led me not getting it.

With the CFA Level I & II scholarship applications opening next week, I have decided that my way of giving back this year will be reviewing scholarship essays. The next (hard) part is figuring out a fair way to select candidates for the review. I will have to figure this out. Fingers crossed 🤞

If you are applying for the CFA Level I or Level II Access scholarship next week, I hope your essays are already coming together. Applications open on 11 February 2026 and close on 3 March 2026 for the November 2026 diet. The essay format has changed, and you are now required to write just one essay: “Reflect on a defining experience, challenge, or motivation that led you to pursue the CFA designation and explain how receiving this scholarship will empower you to uphold ethical standards, demonstrate leadership, and contribute meaningfully to greater financial inclusion in your community or the investment profession. (300-word limit)” Please note this essay prompt was based on the last scholarship window and is shared to guide your preparation. Hopefully it remains the same for this cycle. Word of Advice: Do not rely on AI to generate your essay. Your story, your motivation, and your voice are what truly matter. If you use AI at all, let it only help you refine and polish what you have written yourself. As promised, due to work demands, I can only review a maximum of 10 essays.
