Furthermore, the movie has no frustrating/cringe side plots, no overemphasis on melodrama (while being quite dramatic) and no weird color grading/over-saturation that makes it look artificial, etc. Mohit Suri definitely knew the assignment and he knocked it out of the park. (5/6)

did anyone else feel what they felt when they walked out of movies like #K3G #KalHoNaaHo #VeerZara etc after watching #Saiyaara?? not saying that it’s as good (although it’s pretty great) but there was something I felt today that I haven’t felt from Bollywood in a long timeee

It allows Tom to gauge the pulse of what’s hot & what’s not & reflect that in his craft allowing him to constantly raise the bar. Aamir on the other hand is making remakes after remakes & is almost desperate for his movie to work while maybe being tad out of sync w/ his audience

And that’s just what I have gleaned from interviews - no idea how many more movies he hasn’t seen. To be in the movie making business & not consume the latest content could honestly be hurting him more than he realizes. Contrast that w/ Tom Cruise who watches literally everything

Big fan of #AamirKhan and his work and I am actually enjoying all his interviews recently and his willingness to be candid. But the one thing that I don’t get is him not watching movies of his contemporaries. He hasn’t watched #Swades, #Pathaan or #Jawan.
