Airdrop di Era Sekarang Wajib di Research. Kenapa Research Itu Wajib, Bukan Opsional Di market sekarang, satu hal yang harus disadari yaitu airdop bukan lagi soal kuantitas, tapi kualitas. Kita sudah masuk fase yang jauh berbeda dibanding 2019–2021. Dulu, 100 garapan bisa kasih 50–70 yang “kena value”. Sekarang? Dari 100 garapan, bisa jadi cuma 5–10 yang benar-benar worth it. Apalagi sekarang udah masuk siklus bear. Ini bukan tanda “kiamat airdrop”. Airdrop nggak akan mati, karena secara struktural airdrop itu dibutuhkan developer untuk narik atensi, bangun komunitas awal, dan distribusi ownership. Tapi standarnya naik. Yang asal ikut, kemungkinan zonk. Kenapa Airdrop gak bakal mati? Karena proyek yang teknologinya bagus tapi nggak punya komunitas itu susah hidup. Sebaliknya, proyek yang teknologinya “biasa aja” tapi pinter manage komunitas + narasi sampai bisa viral, bisa dapat liquidity, dan akhirnya… reward ke user. Masalahnya, banyak orang masih pakai pola lama gas tiap hari, ikut semua testnet, tanpa mikir apakah proyek ini layak dan malah spending waktu, Padahal di era sekarang, waktu adalah modal utama. Makanya sekarang, research airdrop harus lebih tajam. Ini gue bagiin Beberapa prinsip simpel biar nggak zonk yang bisa kamu terapin 1️⃣ Cek siapa di balik proyeknya Bukan cuma nama founder, tapi track record. Pernah bangun apa sebelumnya? Pernah rug pull? Pernah sukses? Ini filter pertama. 2️⃣ Lihat investor & ekosistem Bukan soal VC besar = pasti cuan, tapi apakah mereka punya reason buat launch token dan reward user? Proyek tanpa tekanan distribusi sering lama atau bahkan nggak airdrop. 3️⃣ Perhatikan narasi & timing Apakah mereka masuk ke tema yang relevan (AI, modular, restaking, infra, RWA)? Airdrop sering gede kalau narasinya pas dengan siklus. 4️⃣ Pantau aktivitas komunitas, bukan follower Lebih penting lihat diskusi real di Discord/X dibanding angka followers. Banyak follower ≠ banyak user nyata. 5️⃣ Cek desain testnet / points system Kalau semuanya terlalu mudah dan massal tanpa friksi → siap-siap reward tipis. Proyek serius biasanya bikin effort yang “capek tapi masuk akal”. Intinya: Airdrop sekarang bukan lomba siapa paling rajin, tapi siapa paling paham apa yang digarap. Lebih baik 10 proyek tapi researched, daripada 100 proyek tapi cuma copy-paste task. Buat gue pribadi, era ini justru lebih sehat. Yang sabar, mikir, dan ngerti konteks bakal survive. Yang cuma ngejar “gratisan” tanpa strategi… ya pelan-pelan kehabisan bensin. Menurut kalian, airdrop mana yang kelihatan serius di siklus ini? 👀

Fresh Start Phase 2 Completed: Burning the Litterbox & Reducing the Unstaking Window We have completed Phase 2 of the JUP fresh start, which aims to align JUP strategically with the broader objective of creating the platform, community, and token to propel billions of people into DeFi. The Fresh Start is fundamentally about taking a much more strategic approach to JUP. We took a hard look at the problems around governance and the over-emphasis of DAO comms and realized that attention was being negatively averted from the great work of the team and the community. Phase 1 was all about minimizing the DAO, resetting the community, and simplifying the narrative. Phase 2 was all about voting on the Litterbox Burn of ~130m $JUP. Today we’re executing that burn, alongside reducing the unstaking window to 7 days in accordance with the feedback from token holders. Moving forward, we’re also taking a strategic approach to Jupuary, taking into account opinions from all. We’re actively designing it to vastly reduce initial emissions, greatly increase alignment for those who hold the airdrop, and focus on the core platform needs and vision of accelerating decentralization. We will continue to work through what should be doing with the ongoing 50% of revenues sent to the Litterbox. We’re also continuing to find new ways to integrate $JUP into the product suite. It already is integrated into our verification system (where Express Lane fees are burnt) and into our Metis Binary (where 10,000 staked JUP are required for access). Next, we’re going to explore more ways for JUP to be integrated into our future platforms elegantly. Through it all, we will continue to read every post - across X, the Research Forums, and Discord - to better understand what token holders want and how we can balance those desires with the needs of the project. Most wallets or competitor are lowering their swap fees, but @MetaMask still keeps theirs high , even on L2. It's funny paying L1 level fees while swapping on L2 , the whole point of L2 is supposed to be cheaper, right? You'll stay poor if you keep using MetaMask Swap. Imagine swapping $100K worth of ETH on L2 and only getting back $99,000–$99,100. That's almost $1,000 in fees on Layer 2. That's why I'd rather use @base App or @farcaster_xyz Wallet instead. Base just makes more sense: fast, cheap, and for everyone.
