See what he has to say about his journey and what he has planned. When did you join the APE ecosystem? “I joined the BAYC ecosystem when I minted a mutant ape on August 26, 2021. I was hanging out with some friends for my 15th birthday and got the Twitter notification that Mutant Apes were minting. I ran to my computer and minted one as fast as I could. Now we’re here haha.” What inspired you to start this business? “I’ve been playing tennis for 11 years now and I’ve never taken more than a couple weeks off. Playing tennis has always been my passion and I plan to play as long as I can. When I heard about Made By Apes, I thought about how I could use this valuable opportunity. With the increasing popularity of pickleball, I thought to make the Bored Racket Club, a place for racket sport athletes and apes alike.” What will the BBAC grant help your business achieve? “With the BBAC grant, thank you so much again, I plan to host events for the community like pickleball tournaments, ping pong events, or tennis matches. I hope that with these funds I can give back to the community going to these events. Watch out for a pickleball tournament at Apefest for a chance to win some of the grant! Aside from the real-life side of things, I want to build a virtual campus for the Bored Racket Club as a part of Otherside. I also would like to use this grant to bring apes to racket sport events. Imagine a centre court at Wimbledon filled with community members with Stan Wawrinka playing!” What do you most want the community to know about you/your business? I want the community to know that I want to lead the future of all of web3. As a high school student, I’ve been through many highs and lows both literally and figuratively in this space.
