@iam_preethi Natural movement is the only way to go. If muscles are not used, they will become weak. Cushion does that to you. Thank you for spreading awareness on this. Working to create a real movement around this.

A study of 2,300 children in India found that flat feet was 3x higher in kids who wore shoes compared to kids who went barefoot. Closed-toe shoes were the worst. Barefoot was the best. My kids are barefoot 80% of the time and I get stares constantly. My oldest climbs trees, runs on gravel, and does everything shoeless. Letting your kids play barefoot is not neglectful. A child's foot has 26 bones, 33 joints, and over 100 muscles, tendons, and ligaments. The bones aren't fully developed until their teens. Putting a rigid shoe on a developing foot is like putting a cast on a healthy arm. The foot can't feel the ground, can't grip, and can't develop arch strength naturally. Shoes should protect from sharp objects. That's it. They shouldn't reshape a foot that's still being built.

Many of you are asking what to wear for running if someone wants broad toe box and zero drop. Altra running shoes are actually "ZERO DROP" that don't look like zero drop because of outer curvy aesthetics and has good shock absorption. I used them before making frido prototypes and are legit good.

WHY ONE SHOULD NOT USE RUNNING SHOES FOR EVERYDAY USE👇 High performance running shoes are built to maximize efficiency during intense runs. That same efficiency becomes a problem in daily life. By providing excessive cushioning and propulsion, these shoes offload work from the intrinsic foot and lower leg muscles. Over time this reduces natural loading, leading to weaker feet and poorer shock absorption capacity during simple activities like walking or standing. Stability and motion control features are corrective tools, not default needs. In a healthy gait, external support replaces the role of muscles and tendons that are meant to control motion. Prolonged reliance can reduce proprioception and strength, increasing dependency on the shoe rather than improving the body’s ability to self stabilize. Most everyday footwear also elevates the heel relative to the forefoot. This alters ankle position and shifts alignment up the kinetic chain. To stay upright, the pelvis spine and neck compensate, which can increase postural strain over time. For a healthy person, walking demands very little technology unless there are any pain conditions when all of what I have said can be ignored and a consultative personalized approach will be required. But for everyone else, the human foot is already designed for the job.

I'm in a unique position in business right now.. Many barefoot shoe companies are reaching out to me for creation of ads (Whitelisting/UGC) Obviously this is a money making opportunity for me, but I'm much more concerned with maintaining authenticity & trust from the community I've built I've received some great, honest advice from multiple friends from a variety of positions within this niche. Founders, creators, marketers, etc Def don't want to be the guy who's face is always attached to a "sponsored" post in someone's feed I really enjoy working with small companies who I believe in I also really love being in the position to provide super-real feedback about the products I'm testing There are ways to scale (& make money) through being authentic, but they're harder. And honestly I'm okay with that Truly grateful to be in such a position Feels really good that my hard work has put me in a position to make these kind of decisions Haven't totally figured out what my next move is, but I'm going to figure out what makes the most sense for maintaining as much authenticity as possible Just wanted to share the pickle I'm in & I cant thank you all enough for helping me get here

Vaporfly or Kayano? Adios Pro or Endorphin Pro? What are runners in India really wearing for races? The answer isn’t what you see on Instagram. We dove into real-world data to find out. The results might surprise you. Read it here geeksonfeet.com/posts/state-of… #shoegeeks

funny story about shoes - I used to wear a slip on for the longest time from a brand with animal in its name as my daily driver - i bought multiple pairs i thought it was comfortable till I upgraded and then upgraded again and then upgraded again and realized that those slip ons were terrible Making a good footwear aligned with biomechanics of majority involves real science.
