@tommysantos14 You can’t be this stupid: He had no opportunity to get out of the way, which left him with one out: attaching her life to his. He didn’t even fire until he was hit.

Let’s step away for a moment from the clear, unequivocal reality that this was Officer Created Jeopardy (It was. Period. The MAGA spin on this is stupid), and let’s instead use a little logic and reality. If you are an officer on the street and a driver has a car pointed at you from, let’s call it anywhere from 5 feet and beyond, and they accelerate toward you at a high rate of speed. You draw your weapon and shoot to disable the driver and the car before they hit you. Ok, I can get behind that. Intent was clear. The driver intended to harm you with the car. Is that what happened here? Look at the still image right before she turns to leave. What’s the distance between the car and the agent? Less than 1 foot? If he feared for his life, how was his life made any safer by shooting her as she turned turned away from him to drive away? His life wasn’t made safer by shooting at her two more times, once from the side, and once FROM BEHIND. Quite the opposite, actually. By shooting her while she was driving, he endangered the people around him. Looking at the videos, you know how his life was actually made safer? By moving to the left of the car, like he should have completed doing in the first place, instead of breaking policy and standing in front of the car. This isn’t a close call. He created the justification to shoot, and then shot her.

@OnlyJoshinTV @FlyQuestCS @semperfiESC Great write up! As a fan of SemperFi its been excruciating to witness these losses vs JieJiHao but definitely necessary in order to improve vs the international scene, how are we feeling going into Urban Liga? Surely top 3? 😬

The ANZ Season 2025 Another year of ANZ CS and it is definitely looking a bit up from where we started. @FlyQuestCS were able to break the 2-3 curse by getting through to the second stage of a Major. It started well with Extremesland 2024 where @semperfiESC made it through to playoffs after defeating IHC in the decider. Unfortunately, they fell to JiJieHao in the quarter-finals (no revenge for Keen or Savage) Next tournament was @RoosterCS making it to Blast Rising Asia over @semperfiESC but once again the search for a playoff win eluded the ANZ region. Rooster falling in a close affair to ATOX (if only they got outed for matchfixing here!) Shortly followed by MESA Qualifiers where TALON, Semper Fi and Only One Word made it through but disappointment crept up once again where no ANZ teams won a single map. TALON also dropped out of the event. TALON eventually dropped their roster which was another blow to the ANZ scene with AZR becoming teamless once again and likely retired at this point. nettik, ADDICT and hazR were effectively left waiting around but fortunately, FlyQuest swooped on nettik. nettik playing his final tournament with ex-TALON with malta and sterling was looking great when they took down bitter rivals, Semper Fi in the higher bracket. However, Semper Fi with a crazy lower bracket run were able to end up victorious. Semper Fi would win their first domestic LAN. ADDICT and hazR effectively picked up the pieces with playing with malta, sterling and BRACE until the VRS rating transferred to a core 3. Malta retired once again and they picked up Forleks afterwards. The next tournament was PGL Astana with ex-TALON, Rooster and Semper Fi looking hopeful. Semper Fi retained their form and blasted Rooster in the Grand Final. But it is JiJieHao (AGAIN!?) who knocked them out with a straight 2-0. Semper Fi hadn't won a single BO3 internationally as of yet. The biggest disappointment was Only One Word who looked great with the pick-up of Freeman finished last. They lost to both Vantage and Ex-TALON which was quite a shock (mainly the first one!) Next up would be the Hero Asian Champion League and IEM Melbourne. FlyQuest had to rise from the Lower Bracket after Vitality summarily banged them out 2-0 in the upper bracket. FlyQuest would score a shocking win over Virtus Pro to send them packing. FlyQuest fell to NAVI in an incredibly close series 2-1 to be knocked out of IEM Melbourne. Meanwhile, at the closed qualifiers of the Hero Asian Champion League, none of the ANZ teams made it to the main event. Semper Fi did not attend the tournament. It was the last LAN event for Only One Word who split up shortly afterwards. At Hero Asian Champions League itself, FlyQuest was the only Australian Team at the event. FlyQuest would be defeated by long-time rival TYLOO in 2 devastating series where FlyQuest let massive leads slip multiple times. FlyQuest were at their lowest as they missed out on a spot to attend EWC which was claimed by TYLOO. FlyQuest atleast bundled Jijiehao out for 3rd place. This would call for some changes to the roster to be made with Liazz to be the main target. The major rolled around and FlyQuest managed to easily qualify for a spot. However, FlyQuest managed to choke another 2-0 start and were eliminated 2-3. Shortly afterwards, they replaced liazz with JKS. The humble prince returns. IEM Cologne started with a close 2-1 loss to Furia followed up with a 2-1 win over B8 but FlyQuest fell agonising short in IEM Cologne to Liquid, JKS's old team. ESL Pro League had a rare Asian Qualifier where my professional casting career ended with ex-TALON taking on UR. Ex-TALON falling agonisingly short. Semper Fi, the best of the ANZ teams finishing 4th with a crushing loss to a surging IHC. Semper Fi was definitely one of the more competive teams in ANZ as their upper bracker loss was to eventual winners, HOTU. Semper Fi had even travelled to Perth to have better ping at this event. Semper Fi also continued their domestic dominance with victory in CCT but International success is what they wanted. The Blast Asia Rising event was much better for FlyQuest despite their larget amount of tech issues. FlyQuest won 2-0 in every single match. The other ANZ teams floundered. Semper Fi still couldn't win their first BO3 internationally with a shock loss to Eruption. Ground Zero (Housebets) were flogged by Chinggis Warriors but definitely had chances to win the series. FlyQuest has mixed results at Blast with them being eliminated from Bounty by Aurora but at Blast London managed to get a little bit further. Donk knocked them to the lower brackets. They managed to beat their brazilian hoodoo by defeating Legacy but were soundly defeated by G2. Erkast was relieved of coaching duties and they had picked up AZR to be the full time coach at the next event, DracuLAN. It was surprising for any big teams to go to a Local LAN event before this year. The VRS points were too juicy to stray away from where LAN events such as Fragadelphia, DRACULan and the Birch Cup becamse staples of the scene. Domestically, Semper Fi retained dominance with ECL Cup wins and another victory at CCT. However, it was not without drama. Semper Fi picked up ADDICT and hazR from ex-TALON effectively killing ex-TALON's core. Semper Fi benched both Valiance and aliStair which was a massive shock move. The only real upgrade was ADDICT being added to the roster from what I saw at the time. There were some heated moments over the transfer as it was during the ECL/CCT cups rather than after it. The Extremesland 2025 qualifiers came again and Semper Fi fell agonisingly short to their new nemesis of Rooster who was always waiting for them at the grand finals of every local event. Another international LAN missed. Semper Fi manged to qualify for the Asia CAC Closed Qualifiers but were promptly swept by Alter Ego (2-0). Meanwhile, FlyQuest had an incredibly rocky time at DracuLAN losing to a PUG team named Basement Boys. FlyQuest had to trawl through the lower bracket eventually being eliminated by GenOne. FlyQuest were hopeful to win the tournament but were bundled out at LB Round 3. They were not even close to finals! Semper Fi continued their dominance keeping both Rooster and their new rivals, Ground Zero at bay with a clean sweep at DFRAG Open Series 1 without dropping a map. Ground Zero started rising as a contender they started to take maps off both Rooster and Semper Fi. FlyQuest flew to Bucharest for a revival. All matches were Bo3S and FlyQuest managed to secure a 2-1 after beating 3DMax in an incredibly close affair. However, the 3-2 just loomed too far away with losses to Liquid (again) and they couldn't repeat their heroics against Legacy. FlyQuest were just 1 series away from making playoffs at an event that everybody wrote them off. Lastly, Semper Fi secured their 4th ESL Cup and that earned their invite to ESL Pro League. Semper Fi defeating Rooster who desperately were trying to play spoiler. @RoosterCS were rocked by asap and TJP electing to play with Thunder downunder with ex-FlyQuest players of alistair, dexter and liazz. Rooster had also benched sliimey during this ordeal (which was surprising..). Ju1ces ultimately returned from his 5 year hiatus to play with Rooster again and it seemed like he never left the server. Their first tournament went swimmingly until the Grand Final where Ground Zero pipped them at CCT with a 3-2 victory. @GroundZeroOCE winning their first domestic LAN event. The Major flew around and FlyQuest went 3-0 in a stunning fashion. They avenged their loss against Legacy, they stomped imperial and blew past Fluxo to get into Stage 2. However, everything went all wrong in Stage 2 and they were blasted 0-3 in a canter. NAVI, 3DMAX and Astralis were all too strong for them. The gambit of BO1s. DFrag Open 2 was a bit rocky with Ground Zero qualifying but being out of the country. Semper Fi chose not to play due to conflicting events at Odyssey Cup (where GZ was too). Thunder downUnder claiming the 2nd series by defeating Mindfreak in an interrupted affair. Meanwhile at the Odyssey Cup, Ground Zero and Semper Fi winning their first international BO3s and Semper Fi went one step further and won their first international LAN by defeating DCG 3-1. Somehow, the calvin klein model (Keen) won MVP over ADDICT! I feel that Semper Fi may have felt that they should've been at Extremesland as well. Rooster representing ANZ was able to scoot into the playoffs but unfortunately, falling short in a close BO3 to Change the Game. This tournament was the last dance for the asap, TJP, chelleos, Terryyyy and ju1ces roster who would now adjust to a roster without Terryyyy, TJP and asap. Early next year, Semper Fi has elected to play in two European LANs (Urban Riga and PlayR Masters( while FlyQuest will look to the Zhi-Tech Extreme Masters. Lets see where the ANZ journey will turn in 2026. Hopefully, we can have 3 ANZ teams competing internationally (please Ground Zero!)

Fell asleep last night to the new Cudi album, Claire made me pancakes for breakfast, CS2 with the boys this afternoon, Red Sox crushed Yankees, steak and wine for dinner, and topping the night off with board games and cheesecake. Couldn’t ask for a more perfect 29th birthday. 🎉
