Quasar has demonstrated unprecedented levels of performance and devex. This is obviously inconvenient for Anchor's roadmap.
As a result, we're being pressured to discontinue Quasar and upstream tooling improvements into Anchor V2 instead.

looks like you can literally just fix devex forever by making all sysvars available as globals in the vm directly without syscalls for less than the cost of copying a single sysvar account into a single transaction per block. github.com/solana-foundat…

Keeping track of registers and memory is annoying as fuck 😭(btw we should cook that memory visualizer) and building the SolInstruction type to invoke CPI has to be one of the most annoying things I’ve ever had to do

I added pinocchio examples to the @solana_devs programs examples repo earlier in the year, currently working on more SBPF assembly examples and I can't wait to add Quasar examples soon
btw somehow please beg @jacobvcreech to merge my PRs
