So I had a UGREEN power adaptor fail on me in a dangerous way, it nearly melted the port on my headset and left the cable scorched. In a decade of using USB C power adaptors I’ve never had one fail like that. This is actually the third UGREEN product that’s failed on me now…

@MiniPut98 It doesn’t have to be part of the GBA app to be included in NSO expansion tho

@Zer0DucksGiven Yeah I'm guessing since they are adding Pokemon Home support to the games they sort of had to make them separate from the GBA app since that has cloud saves which could be used to duplicate Pokemon.

Nintendo charging £17 for a GBA Rom with some bare minimum local multiplayer features so they don’t have to include it in NSO+Expansion has to be a new low. It’s even worse when you consider PokeMMO is a thing and has existed for a long time, for free.

@KanawhaCountyWX Yeah, I still have my switch 1 dock and it still works, over 8 years later. I’ve been seeing numerous people face this issue with SW2 so I really hope this isn’t a widespread defect.

My Switch 2 dock has failed after only 8 months, £93 for a new one directly from Nintendo, I'm contacting support but I haven't heard good things online about getting it replaced under warranty.

I am somewhat curious what has failed exactly, I've always used the included power adapter/cable and I have only charged a pro controller with the official cable from the dock's USB ports. No out of the ordinary usage whatsoever, in-fact, I've barely used the thing.

If anyone is curious what a completely dead lightly used Switch 2 dock looks like:

@Dexerto Valve did so much of the heavy lifting for both L4D1 and 2, there's good videos out there that really to into it, Turtle Rock may have been the creators of the concept, but without Valve, L4D would've been another mid game fallen into obscurity, like Back 4 Blood.

Mike Booth, creator of the original Left 4 Dead, has announced he's working on a new project He wants to build on "what made L4D special" and is making a comeback to try and create the next big co-op shooter

And this isn't just "haha weird Japanese company", they're developing games in Unreal Engine, which has these options baked in by default, it would be as simple as giving us a menu option, this is an intentional choice and it's very irritating.

Nintendo games have a shocking lack of accessibility options for 2025. You still can't adjust the volume mix, disable screen shake, disable motion blur or mess with basically any camera or control settings, when basically every other game in existence allows you to.

Showing sunshine as a screenshot for the CRT filter is filthy, it's not even included in the GC games at launch lol

@Alex645ca It has more buttons though, in 3d All Stars it was just bound to separate buttons so my guess Is that they will just do that

@Zer0DucksGiven Really wondering how they're gonna handle it since I've heard the Switch 2 controllers *still* do not have analog triggers like the GCN one did, and Sunshine used that the most out of their first party titles afaik.

@CptPsychopath @killysunt I run us roms on my SNES and don't have any problems, same with PS1/2. I believe after the SNES the hardware is identical in all regions except the bios that runs on them to encode region data, I don't think it would have any speed issues.

Switch 2 is out in a few days but I found this in a charity shop for cheap, so I'll catch up with you guys in about 30 years

@CptPsychopath @killysunt It's not a major issue on modern TV's and the speed of N64 is appropriately adjusted, even so he could always get pal roms if need be lol

@killysunt I'm skeptical of those. 50hz console and 60hz games? Idunno maaaan.

@CptPsychopath Well it's not always successful I admit, strangely though I think most actually grew to like DS2 eventually, despite the negative online discourse when it launched, it has many issues still, but being very different is the least of them 😅

Doom Eternal was perfect, by all accounts, so instead of trying to iterate, The Dark Ages completely mixes everything up into something that doesn't even feel remotely similar to play and that was the right decision, I wish more games would follow suit.
