I had years of management XP. Applied for a corpo job that planned to rapidly grow. I was bamboozled on my orientation day, and was told to build retail aisles for 10 hours straight. Left after 5. That company is everywhere now & pays almost half of what I do to my employees.

Never played, but from what I saw they had some good ideas and it was clear there was passion for the game there. That being said, maybe don't openly taunt Blizzard while making a profit off their IP? Don't feel the slightest bit sorry.

@zhakaron That's not true in the slightest. That rumor literally started in their discord. You said it yourself. You weren't buying Blizzard products anyway, so no one should care that you're not going to be able to support people who boosted their product for profit anyway.

I'm told Microsoft legal has been going after etsy shops and doujins of thier properties lately. So this is of little suprise to me, but still disappointing. It also still won't get me to buy most modern Blizzard products because they are not selling what I want.

@56pearo @Zero4711 @daveatano I did do that for decades. Modern Blizzard and WoW are just not the same as how it started. There will never be anything like Turtle, especially not officially. Not point in sticking around and paying for nothing.

Turtle WoW did some really cool and unique things with the Classic WoW setting and it should be commended for it. But the way they decided to be openly big-headed and publicly throw jabs at Blizzard for social media points will be cemented as one of the dumbest moves ever.

@Lycantocles YUP! Making me give up almost everything that I spent time doing/collecting, just to start again in a different way, is such a half-baked art concept of a mechanic. Any more silly and I'd think Peter Molyneux invented it, as a way to artificially inflate playtime.

@_Tristan_503 @Technically_PvP This argument is literally 25 years old, and I've seen it with Ultima Online, Asheron's Call, EverQuest (5 times), WoW, Vanguard, etc. that it just lacks any weight.

@Zero4711 @Technically_PvP I dont care about IP Theft. If Blizzard was doing a good job, these projects wouldn't keep popping up. Private servers are the reason we got Classic in the first place. They told their fans they didn't want something they were begging for.

I'm always stunned when #warcraft pirate servers put out statements like this. They stole Intellectual Property, took money for it, and then put out a grand statement like they are Carbine or something shutting down. Go make your own game and then talk about your journey!
