The limited qty of Marius DS4’s I am bringing to dreamhack are all but accounted for. I experienced a shortage in DS4 controllers to install and the restock of controllers was delayed. Due to the inconvenience I will be running a sale online for the remainder after the event.

@larvesta10 @skipn0z I really like running my controllers at 4k. Computer and response seem to be happiest there from personal experience. Will be checking out the HS and how it feels in comparison at different rates.

@ZeroControllers @skipn0z I actually recommend 2K over 8K. The difference in latency isn’t significant, and it puts less strain on the PC. That’s certainly true. People often say that Marius’s boards are expensive.

@larvesta10 @skipn0z Correct. At some point it’s not even noticeable. Biggest thing is availability and price at this point.

@ZeroControllers @skipn0z I haven't measured it myself, but I'd guess that the HS, with its 32K scan rate, is faster. You wouldn't notice a delay difference this small when actually playing.

@larvesta10 @skipn0z I don’t have personal experience with testing the latency. Both boards claim theirs is faster. The performance at 8k seems the Marius is slightly better but that’s just going off other people’s values. Either way minimal differences for the price gap!

@ZeroControllers @skipn0z Are the Marius and HS about the same in terms of performance? Is low latency their main selling point? Actually, I don't own either of them yet, lol.

@larvesta10 @skipn0z Cost is a big thing for customers. If the same reliable performance at 1/3 of the cost its a no brainer. Cost of marius boards is the big thing and companies mark them up for profit gain etc. The profit margins on an HS board are still there while customers get a better price.

@skipn0z What other advantages does the Marius board offer besides low latency? If there aren't any, the HS, which offers comparable latency at a lower cost, seems likely to become popular.

Hmmm 🤔 so is a lower price the major selling factor on 8k DS4 controllers. Got in contact with a supplier that would allow us to lower the price of a premium 8k polling rate DS4 board by a good amount. Use this as an interest check by liking and sharing!

@itzblakee_ @mariusheier @realLeafay @Yyiyun_Hibiya I know people who get 8k boards of any type And prefer a standard board still. Everyone has their own preferences and feel on a controller. Marius made an incredible product and has always been very open with the community. Quality and craftsmanship comes at a price.

@mariusheier @LeBaron88517418 Correct. It would just be an 8k board as a cheaper alternative. Serious player will always choose the Marius board but the ability to offer a cheaper alternative for other wanting to try 8k out is worth a try.

@LeBaron88517418 Possible. I have not looked into how high they can go because at some point it’s unnoticeable. My main goal is to bring cost down so everyday people can afford them. Marius makes a fantastic product so I will still offer them just checking on alternatives.

@Dozahc Most definitely can. Many pros have made the switch. Same as the gamesir is also eligible with specific “tournament” mode or however they do it because of macros. Marius boards add no unfair advantage, just faster.

This would allow us to lower prices on a controller with the same performance. May even go ahead with a test batch and do a giveaway. Who would be interested in a cheaper alternative?
