(10/10) Kyšer was arrested by the Gestapo for his activities and, after three years in prison, sentenced to death in Berlin. In 1946, President Edvard Beneš awarded him the Czechoslovak War Cross of Merit “in memoriam.”

(9/10) During the German occupation, Kyšer refused to emigrate and instead co-founded a fund to support the families of officers who had fled abroad. In 1940, the Nazis confiscated the factory.
