Because she didn't need to rush? Unlike Korra, Aang had 1 year (or less) to learn and master everything otherwise the fire nation, along with Ozai, would absolutely fuck the earth. Meanwhile Korra had her own pace to learn

Korra at a very tender age was already bending three elements and was proud to be the Avatar from day one. When Aang was told he had a duty, what did he do? He ran as fast as he could and hid when the world needed him most.
You cannot compare someone who has been a warrior since childhood to someone who was older than Korra when he discovered he was the Avatar and still ran.
