What efforts, dude? Pakistan did not broker peace, it delivered a press release. It played the role it is most comfortable with, Washington’s postman, carrying messages between players who were already negotiating their own exit ramp. The ceasefire talks were not stuck because Pakistan was not trying hard enough. They were stuck because Iran was holding out. Tehran wanted more leverage, more guarantees, more bragging rights. It was playing for bigger stakes. That changed the day American jets started getting downed and the escalation began looking like a fire that could spread. Trump then did what Trump always does when he wants an exit but cannot look weak. He raised the temperature. Genocide-level threats, dramatic language, maximum pressure. Not because he wanted a longer war, but because he needed Iran to climb down without claiming it had forced America to blink. And the moment both sides were ready to pause, the pause happened. Pakistan did not bring anyone to the table. Pakistan just stood near the table, nodded for the cameras, and read out the announcement. That is the job of such states. They don’t shape history, they just provide a convenient face for someone else’s decision.

@AsYouNotWish India must appreciate Pakistan’s efforts

@nhg_911 Besides Abida Perveen is probably among the richest artists in Pakistan, considering her long and illustrous singing career. Why would she need treatment on charity ?

SKMH refused treatment for my father who later passed away but you won’t see me complaining because SKMH has a criteria that they follow when taking on patients. My family despite the refusal only had extremely good things to say about the hospital. Stop politicising an extremely well run & world class institution 🙏🏽 SKMH only treats patients who are (1) not stage 4 (2) their cancers haven’t spread to other organs
AS🩷@AS_Resists

I am seeing so many posts like this and it angers me so much, if this nation had brains it would be so dangerous! First and foremost I wish Abida Parveen a speedy recovery, secondly she is not poor and can afford treatment! @SKMCH is for those WHO CANNOT AFFORD TREATMENT!!!

@tishasaroyan Totally agreed. Landowner, major business people, traders in Puniah, esp. Lahore to Rawalpindi belt were Hindus and Sikhs, they were ousted through coercion, riots, intimidation and out of sheer greed and malice.

Absolutely shameless to call Hindus the biggest beneficiaries of partition. My grandparents lost their homes, their livelihood, my daadi lost her father to the rioters. She and her mother hid in an abandoned house for 3 days eating nothing but raw wheat to escape the rioters who would've r@péd and brutalised them. They were rescued by the army, taken to a refugee camp where they were given 2 chapatis each to eat with one green chilli and some salt water. They came to Punjab and lived in kaccha houses, and even poorly when they came to Delhi. Only slowly did they build their lives back. But continued to always carry the partition trauma, the panic, the fear, how unceremoniously their lives were uprooted. As compared to this many Muslims in Lucknow didn't move an inch. So please spare me this ahistorical bs. I don't agree with Mr Akhtar here, for I was not taught by my grandparents to hate Muslims, but erasing their trauma of partition is just a shameless Muslim fundamentalist cope.
Indian Muslim Archives@Rustum_0

Javed Akhtar justifies the irrational and genocidal hatred of Hindus (the biggest beneficiaries of Partition) against Indian Muslims (the biggest victims of Partition) using Partition talking points. Apparently, criticising this man is extremism.

I am against mixing politics with sports but I'm making an exception for the Asia Cup, it's bordering on betrayal, because the Pakistani team mixes more than just politics on the pitch. Since we can't stop it from happening, I won't watch it anywhere.

Congratulations @Bilalbinsaqib on your new role. Now that you’re an official government Minister, I’m going to again post the 5 questions I asked earlier, if you could be kind enough to answer for the pubic interest and good. 1. Is there a White Paper / Policy Strategy you have on Crypto Advancement in Pakistan that you can share with us? If you can be kind enough, I couldn't find one. It would be good for the public to know the vision, numbers and exact outcomes. 2. Now that you are the Minister of Crypto in the Government of Pakistan, have you relinquished your advisory role with WLFI? 3. What is the nature of engagement and conversation between PakGov and WLFI? There isn't much available on it beyond the sound bites. 4. What is the role of Army Chief in the crypto domain in Pakistan? He is regularly featuring in your work. Militarisation of Crypto domain is a serious threat to its ability to deliver positive outcomes for the public. Would like your comment on it. 5. Have you run the necessary consultations with relevant public and private stakeholders within Pakistan? How many and with who? Could you share any details of this process? I look forward to your response.
Bilal bin Saqib MBE@Bilalbinsaqib

Honoured to be appointed as the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Blockchain and Cryptocurrency, with the status of Minister of State. This is a responsibility I carry with sincerity, for our youth, our builders, and the future we want to shape. Pakistan has a real opportunity to lead by example, showing how emerging markets can embrace digital assets meaningfully, responsibly, and for the greater good. Let’s get to work. 🇵🇰 profit.pakistantoday.com.pk/2025/05/26/bil…
