@GTCCASTRO @LIGO In awe from about LIGO instrument sophistication. Given the extreme sensitivity and efforts to reduce noise. I wonder if the teams have considered using it as a geophone to learn about the earth and oceans.

6 days until the gravitational waves public lecture by Gabriela González at GTCC (gtcc.edu/community-enga…). So far @LIGO has detected gravitational waves from 6 sources. The first, #GW150914 was 3 years ago. Info about the detection here: ligo.org/detections/GW1…
