“When Fadza Mutengi came out, I never found any favour with it. The message was just wrong, in all aspects, for me. I found it to be a song that promoted unbridled ass-licking and that never sat well with me. It was made worse by the fact that it instantly became a fan favourite! And that happened because of what our political economy has become, one where neoliberal capitalism has taken hold and our materialist desires get the better of us. So, better please the one with the money, and do not ask any questions. Be in your unbridled sycophantic mode, and you will enjoy the pleasures of life proudly sponsored by the one with the money,” @HillaryTakudzwa writes on why he supports @realpoptain's decision to disown Fadza Mutengi. zimsphere.co.zw/2026/03/why-i-…

Oh yes. Slyme Foxx says new music will be dropping soon. The crew is saying the vibe is "Trap dzakaomarara". And honestly, we can't wait. It's been long, Gava!

Allow us to take you back a bit - When innovation isn’t excellence: The problem with @winkydonline's 'Fake Love' AI video winning outstanding video of the year Visually, the video struggles with the same limitations seen in many early stage AI videos: inconsistent imagery, shallow emotional resonance, and a lack of visual progression that truly complements the song. It does not push the medium forward, nor does it redefine what an AI music video can be. There's nothing new or revolutionary brought forth by Jusa. At best, it is serviceable, and at worst, it is just plain forgettable. Which brings us to the fundamental point that this much-vaunted innovation alone should not be mistaken for excellence. Add some unique creative flair, please. AI is already reshaping music creation itself, from vocals to songwriting. That reality is not going away. But if the industry fails to create clear categories, disclosure standards, and evaluation criteria, we risk blurring the definition of excellence altogether. We took a brief pause to refine our process and elevate our standards. Now, we return with the latest chart update, and the competition remains intense. “Handinyore,” “Too Much,” and “Mwari Aripo” all make notable moves, but “Ruzhowa” continues to hold firm at number one, with Jah Prayzah maintaining his position at the top. “Pane Achachema” by Nutty O climbs seven places to number two, while Grace Zw debuts strongly at number three, buoyed by significant traction on TikTok. Elsewhere, Bling4 re-enters the chart with “Tiri Parwendo,” and Master H continues to assert his presence with three songs in the Top 40. The question now is: who claims the number one spot next week?
