Hmmmmm I'm on the fence for this one. Pensioners shouldn't have to be forced back in to work or have any financial worries if they have worked for it all their lives. But at the same time, people should prepare themselves for their own retirement. Working age people should not have to pay for the elderly.

More than 12 million pensioners  will see their state pension rise 4.8% today under the triple lock. But the government has been accused of doing too little for working-age households - So is it time to scrap the triple lock?

@GMB I get the State Pension and a private pension. Any increase in the SP is wiped out because of the extra income tax deducted from my private pension. And yet. My council tax and water rates are up. I am worse off now than last werk ......

@Mattdinio I couldn’t have voted for it because I wasn’t elected then. But yes I did read the legislation because I helped to get the wording changed so the age verification aspect was more robust - I worked for a children’s charity who saw firsthand the impact of violent porn on kids.

Well done to everyone who campaigned to ensure age verification for pornography was in the Online Safety Act! Today it comes into force and while no doubt there will be some who get around it, it means young kids in particular won’t be stumbling on violent and harmful porn.
