@paul_hohl and I are grieving the passing of our sweet pup Shortstop. We adopted him in May 2012 and made so many great memories over the 4,521 days he was with us. Our hearts and home are empty; we were so lucky to be his humans.

Charleston has hired Akron head coach John Groce, source told @thefieldof68. 

Groce, 54, has taken the Zips to three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances and gone dancing four of the last five seasons. Groce will replace Chris Mack, who left Charleston after two seasons to take the South Florida job. 

Groce is 377-225 in his career. He was also the head coach at Ohio (2008-12) and Illinois (2012-17).
