AFTERNOON THREAD: We are back in the courtroom. Spotted Rexburg Police Det. Ray Hermosillo in the lobby waiting area. Lori filed a motion weeks ago asking that he not be allowed to testify. Judge denied it. Last time Hermosillo testified was in Chad Daybell's April 2024 trial in Boise, Idaho.

@NateNewsNow The leading by Treena is wild but I wish every trial was this easy to follow. Lori has no idea how much she should object.

Treena has no other questions for Hermosillo. Lori will now cross-examine Hermosillo. She says she has no questions. Jury has no questions.

Lori says, "We always had a friendly relationship, is that correct?" He responds, "I wouldn't say always." Lori says he was at Brandon and Melanie's wedding, she went to Utah to help when their first child was born. Treena objects for relevance. Judge allows the questioning to continue. Lori says, "I was there when your second child was born, correct?" Brandon says she was not there when their child was born - she came and visited with the family. Lori goes on to say she watched his kids, Treena objects. Judge sustains. Lori goes on to say she went on vacations with Brandon, Treena objects. Judge tells Lori to move on to relevant information. Lori starts to argue with the judge. He tells her to approach with counsel.

Day 2 of Lori Vallow Daybell's Arizona Boudreaux trial. I'm back in the courtroom. Light numbers today. Only four people on the media row. Around 20 members of the public. Judge's assistant came out into the lobby and asked if any family members are here for the defense. Nobody is. Nobody has shown up for the defense in any of the Arizona or Idaho trials.

Lori has no further questions. I should have mentioned earlier that Nancy Jo Hancock, the woman who went on a date with Charles the night before he was killed, is in the courtroom sitting with Brandon Boudreaux's family and friends.

Lori says she's been unable to get a hold of her investigator. Lori asks if she can cross-examine Brandon on another day out of order so she can get the information from her investigator. Judge asks if any of the documents she plans on using may have been marked by the state already as exhibits.
