Life really hits you when you’re led on an emergency mri scan

I hate how blunt the dr was with me this evening but it maybe it was the reality check I needed. 🥺

@Dyenamic I’m having strange opposite side effects with a different steroids, can’t keep my eyes open 🤒

Steroids suck! The midnight hours trying to read a book and timing it right to drop off to sleep again. Haven't managed yet #cancersucks #braintumours

@abij94 I’ve got normal steroids but I don’t have the emergency intra muscular solution which you need in the case of emergency. I currently can’t keep anything down so have needed it but my GP won’t release it as he didn’t issue the first lot I was given by the crisis nurses xxx

@Zoeeee93 Is GP not prescribing them?? How bloody dangerous!!! Text me if need any advice/a moan xxxx

I’ve been in adrenal crisis probably 3 x and my GP still won’t prescribe me the meds to help. I’ve got to go to a&e if it happens again. Do drs not read notes! Goodness sake it’s like 3 years ago all over again

@abij94 I know, yeah I’m still on steroids. My consultant is fuming and has put me on a different steroid. But I have been so poorly recently- I’ve been meaning to text you xxxx

@Zoeeee93 Do you not take your steroids anymore?? Complain. We can literally die in crisis and having no steroids is going to cause crisis xxxx

What a joke today was. Broke down on the A1 - over 200 miles away from home. 3 hour wait time on the side of the motorway for recovery lol 🤦🏼‍♀️

I had a fun day in the hospital the other day. Given some new meds and an mri in the next week or so to check everything out, fingers crossed 🤞🏼

@fschmnn Shortly after I posted this I got a phone call offering me a face to face appointment with my oncologist, so I’m going down to see him on Thursday and hopefully he’ll get me an earlier scan as I am on 12 monthly’s. It’s all come on so quickly I don’t really know what to do 🥺

I'm just not the mum that my kids need anymore. I haven't been for a very long time and it breaks my heart because I am struggling just to get up everyday. I don't function the same way anymore. They deserve so much more.
