On #WorldWaterDay we’re celebrating the role freshwater and saltwater ecosystems play in sustaining life. Our dive team works alongside @MoteMarineLab and Protect Our Reefs to help restore coral reefs in the Florida Keys. Together, we can protect the waters that protect us 💙

Zoo Miami received another bomb threat today and temporarily closed while deputies from the Sheriff’s Office including K-9 units already on site conducted a sweep. The park was quickly given the all clear.  We will reopen to the public on Monday with enhanced security measures.

Did you know that acupuncture has been used on animals for thousands of years? It’s often used in veterinary care to help with mobility challenges, arthritis, or nerve issues. For Koda, it’s just one of the ways our team helps keep him feeling his best. 🧘‍♂️

Our scientific paper was accepted in the journal Florida Entomologist. We describe for the first time how the Pine Rockland trapdoor spider possibly consumed the invasive New Guinea flatworm. We are beyond excited to continue learning and sharing our findings on #SaveASpiderDay
