Hilarious!
Frank McCormick@CBHeresy

I work from home, and sometimes it gets boring and lonely, so recently I’ve taken to answering those Indian scammer calls on my headset and dragging them out as long as possible with increasingly bizarre antics. Today I had one where the scammer was trying to get me to buy gift cards at a store and send him the codes so he could allegedly send me cash. I don’t even know what the scam was supposed to be—it was really poorly thought out on their end—but I played along. After about 30 minutes of pretending I was incredibly incompetent—having all sorts of difficulty starting my car and getting to the store—I told the guy I had arrived at Walmart. You could hear the excitement in his voice—this was a man who clearly had very little success doing this. I even played sound effects from YouTube videos I had open in a bunch of tabs so he could hear me parking, entering the store, etc. “Yes, sir! Very good! Cannot wait—I can send you the cash!” Then things got interesting. I told him to hold on while I got the cards, explaining that I didn’t have any money. He became a bit concerned and said, “Please, sir, just buy the cards.” Then, as loud as I could, right in his ear: “EVERYONE GET ON THE FUCKING GROUND! I’VE GOT A GUN!” plays YouTube clip of people screaming The guy lost it: “Oh my God, sir, what are you doing?! Oh my God! Oh my God! Please stop!” Too late. For about five minutes, I narrated a high-stakes robbery, complete with me losing my cool, gunshot sound effects, audio clips of women screaming, etc. It was the most harrowing five minutes of this poor guy’s life, as he kept telling me to stop and just give him the card numbers quickly. When it was over, I made sure to let him know that I got the cards and killed anyone who tried to stop me—just as he had asked. Clearly nervous he would somehow be implicated in this robbery-turned–mass murder he facilitated overseas, he emphatically told me that he only wanted me to buy the cards and did not ask me to do any of this. I ended with a police siren and me pretending to run away before screaming, playing the gunshot sound effects again, and abruptly ending the call. I honestly don’t know why he stayed on the call as long as he did, considering how panicked he sounded at various points—maybe he thought I’d still give him the card numbers and PINs after the botched robbery—but I can’t imagine Mr. Patel will be scamming anyone for some time. So—how did you guys spend your workday?

My son was talking about his friend who was suicidal. I thought the kid went to public school, but he’s homeschooled. Son- I don’t understand why he’d be suicidal if he’s homeschooled. Me- homeschooled kids don’t stop having problems. They can be all kinds of weird, even polar opposite in the same family. I grew up with a very large family. First kid- Christian. Second- missionary. Third- New Age hippie non-Christian. Fourth- atheist homosexual lawyer with a SAH husband and two kids from surrogates. Fifth- homosexual. Sixth- straight but uber liberal “Christian.” Seventh- normal Christian, stays out of it. Eighth- missionary. Ninth- atheist. Tenth- missionary. Lost track of the rest. Their parents are amazing and godly. They did all they knew how. And not all homeschooling parents are all that great. And kids deal with a lot. We’re all just out here doing our best.

@TossingSticky @GeneralJoeM17 My mother died from brain cancer 10 yrs ago. There are signs something is wrong in the brain which causes you to seek a dr. He had no signs. Ended up in the ER for something unrelated. 48 hrs later, dxd with a brain tumor. 5 days later dead.

I have reached the point in my life where I will block anyone who remotely annoys me in the comments. Life is too short to argue with fools. It is difficult to debate a smart person, but it is impossible to debate a stupid person.

@Mr_Husky1 Health care providers don’t seem to know basic things anymore. I went to urgent care for a burn. The PA told me her knowledge of burns was “basic” and sent me to the ER. 15 yrs ago one of my kids had a similar burn. Treated right in the dr office. What are they learning today??

Can death be prevented? Yesterday, a 17-year-old patient died from complicated appendicitis. Yes, from appendicitis. A teenager who, over approximately 10 days, visited four different health centers. She arrived with abdominal pain, distension, and a yellowish, foul-smelling vaginal discharge. She was sexually active, and at some point, she was likely treated as a gynecological case. But it was an acute abdomen. When she arrived at our center, she was in shock. Tests were performed, but before the complete results were available, her condition deteriorated. She was taken to the ICU, stabilized, and then transferred to the operating room. During surgery, approximately 3,000 cc of pus were found in her abdominal cavity. A perforated appendix. Sepsis. Two days later, she died. And this is where reality hits me. I believe that death, as the final destination, is inevitable. We are born, and one day we die. But what I do believe is that some causes of death can be prevented. Appendicitis shouldn't kill a 17-year-old patient. Abdominal pain, fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea in a previously healthy teenager. That diagnosis isn't complex. It doesn't require being a surgeon. It requires clinical suspicion. We surgeons operate on appendicitis. But it should be diagnosed by all clinicians. This patient sought help. Her family sought help. She was turned away time and time again. She arrived without a referral. She arrived when sepsis had already set in. And yes, perhaps her death was inevitable that same day. But it didn't have to be from appendicitis. That's what hurts. That's what shocks me. That's what shouldn't happen. Because when the diagnosis is delayed, it's not just a mistake. It's a lost opportunity to save a life.

@Zookeeper228 @GeneralJoeM17 Wait. What did the vaccines have to do with that? You just said he had a brain tumor. Why wouldn’t you think that that was the reason?

@Zookeeper228 @GeneralJoeM17 see that SUCKS. I hope that He knew Jesus as His savior. I am in the WORST position because I warned, and now look. I still can't even get my patients who are dying of BIZARRE cancers to even consider it was the jab. Why? Cause then they'd have to admit they were wrong.

@Zookeeper228 Ivermectin and fenben have been the most effective drugs I’ve come across in navigating cancer, including severe cases like Stage 3&4. William Makis has been pioneering in it use with lots of testimonies to his expertise. If you need guidance. Email wmakis7.9@yahoo.com #Hope

I lost my mom when I was 38 weeks pregnant with my second baby. I can’t even explain how insane it feels to read mom groups, mom Reddit threads, and mommy Twitter rants right now. Women complaining about their mothers for - calling “too much” - kissing or hugging their toddlers - wanting to see the kids - moving closer just to be around them - buying non-aesthetic toys (seriously?) It is so unbelievably ungrateful. What makes it worse is seeing this come from conservative spaces that constantly preach about how motherhood is everything. The same women posting “nothing replaces you as a mom” are turning around and threatening to cut off their own mothers… over Paw Patrol t-shirts??? So what is your mom now, then? Suddenly not a mom anymore? Not allowed to love you, to show up, to be involved, just because you have your own kids now? Now she better not have any attachment to the most fulfilling part of her life? Is that really how YOU want YOUR children to treat you one day? Some people will not realize what they have until it’s gone. These delusional women want to throw whole relationships away over things that will not matter at all, looking back. The level of entitlement and lack of perspective is unreal. And there are too many posts to comment on the all individually, so here’s my generalized response. Get a grip, moms.

As an Iranian, let me tell you what @POTUS is talking about here: In Iran, if you protest, you die. Not metaphorically. Snipers on rooftops shoot people in the head and chest. In January, the regime massacred thousands in the streets, many of them young people whose only crime was demanding a normal life. When he says Iranians are telling the U.S. “please keep bombing” he’s describing a population so desperate to be free from a regime that murders them for protesting, that they’re willing to endure war if it means the system that has terrorized them for 47 years finally falls. You may not understand that. Most Westerners can’t. You’ve never lived in a country where your daughter can be shot in the face for not covering her hair. Where your son disappears into Evin Prison and you get a call to come pick up the body. Where the internet goes dark so the world can’t see the killing. That’s what “they have lived in a world that you know nothing about” means. Before the media turns this into “Trump wants to bomb civilians,” understand: the Iranian people have been begging the world to see them for years. This is the first U.S. president to say it out loud.

.@POTUS explains to a reporter that the Iranian people yearn for freedom: "We've had numerous intercepts, 'Please keep bombing' ... and these are people that are living where the bombs are exploding... they want freedom. They have lived in a world that you know nothing about."

@DjmMorrison @fathersreforged I’ve raised 6 (out of 8) kids so far and have homeschooled them all. None of the grown ones are “ignorant”. They have jobs and families and are well rounded individuals. Your argument is moot here.

@Zookeeper228 @fathersreforged So you are willing to have them grow up ignorant? That tracks with everyone who is so terrified of exposure and embracing inclusivity. Not as educated as you think.
