Woke up to my first query rejection after a quiet period 😩 But it also was a detailed rejection that gave me enough detail to know what I could change for the next time… 🤯 So I’m bummed but hopeful and also 🤞🏾🤞🏾 other agents love some action early in a novel 👀 #amquerying

@iamscottcollard Right?!? I am personally a fan of more adventure type books that make you turn the page. It’s hard when you write the book you want to read but it may not be the book that’s right for publishing atm

@ZoraAsque Getting a detailed rejection is truly very rare. I'd take that as a good sign. Keep going and just remember that Dr. Seuss and Stephen King got rejected over and over before they got the YES that changed everything. You've got this!!!!

@ZoraAsque So basically, when you get QueryTracker premium, you can see an agent’s query timeline (so where your query sits in the queue). When agents skip your query and answer the ones after yours, that means you now sit in their ‘maybe pile’ because it’s not a straight yes or no 😊

Not me looking at the status of my queries in QT for the first time in two weeks as I’m messaging agents to ask if they’d be willing to look at my new pages now that I’ve done some large edits, only to realise I’m sitting in a few maybe piles with my old pages.
