@bunchonumb3rs @tmtulcs @avidseries But the study didn't address the millions of libtards who believe Trump works for Putin, because it's obviously biased. If it did, and if the people conducting the study were honest it would show that libtards are just as likely to believe dumb conspiracies about Republicans.

@ZssMetc @tmtulcs @avidseries it’s worth pointing out that the study I linked you to specifically states that liberals have a higher sensitivity for truthiness in reporting than conservatives. You keep trying to make this about both sides but it’s plainly true that conservatives have a problem with facts.

My take is that when you run into a leftwinger who "doesn't know the facts" it's because those (politically inconvenient) facts have deliberately not been reported in the legacy media or in their college classes, but when you run into a rightwinger who "doesn't know the facts" it's often because they distrust legacy media (for good reason) but then rely upon the niche low-IQ rightoid weirdos that infest YouTube and social media.

@bunchonumb3rs @tmtulcs @avidseries This has been fun blowing off steam. But I need to get to bed and will not be checking X until at least next weekend. Maybe I'll check in then and continue owning you for your idiotic takes. Peace out girl scout. Trump 2028.

@ZssMetc @tmtulcs @avidseries So you agree that the right is largely misinformed on this issue, and I’m willing to bet that you at least tacitly agree that it’s largely because of right wing media and politicians that the right believes this way. Are you getting it yet or nah?

@bunchonumb3rs @tmtulcs @avidseries By "interfere in the electoral process" you mean "release factual information about the Democrat candidate". Liberals get so upset when too many facts come out and say democracy has been compromised.

@ZssMetc @tmtulcs @avidseries Is it good for foreign adversaries to actively interfere in the American electoral process? I think we should be able to agree that Russians hacking the servers of our political parties in order to achieve a favorable outcome for themselves is bad, no?

@bunchonumb3rs @tmtulcs @avidseries Me? No. You can't put an these chemicals in the air and expect no long term consequences, something i wish fellow conservatives would wake up to. But at the same time the media fear mongers about it a lot and massively exaggerates the short term threat. Both things can be true.

@bunchonumb3rs @tmtulcs @avidseries If holding accurate knowledge is fundamental to democracy, then why was it an attack on democracy when wikileaks released DNC emails? Was that too much accurate information?

@bunchonumb3rs @tmtulcs @avidseries This study is retarded. "Holding accurate political knowledge is fundamental to democracy". Then they go on to cite a bunch of things like climate change, birtherism, etc. Why didn't they include "does Trump work for Putin"? Or "did trump fake the Butler shooting?".

@bunchonumb3rs @tmtulcs @avidseries I retweeted that so I could research it later and then forgot i ever tweeted it. That's the case with a lot of what I've posted. Your dodging the conversation by bringing that up four separate times now.

@bunchonumb3rs @tmtulcs @avidseries Yes, maybe it's my lack of critical thinking. Or maybe your explanations don't hold up to basic scrutiny because it's obvious that you're coping. If you can't find anything they've falsely reported, your cheap insults don't make your point more valid.

@ZssMetc @tmtulcs @avidseries I’ve already explained this to you in multiple ways but you apparently have the critical thinking skills of a gold fish. Also, very funny that your pinned comment is propaganda and you aren’t interested in addressing it. 40 mentions in the files? Is that your final answer?

@bunchonumb3rs @tmtulcs @avidseries Then give me an example outside of the retarded woke narratives (which you are prepared to defend). Do NYT readers know more about history, the three branches of government, the names of world leaders, economics or finance, than Breitbart readers? Source?

@ZssMetc @tmtulcs @avidseries You’re still latching onto an opinion piece to make an argument about fact reporting and somehow you haven’t figured out how that argument doesn’t work. It’s really quite amazing.

@bunchonumb3rs @tmtulcs @avidseries And yet you've yet to give a single example of a false thing that Breitbart has reported despite me asking multiple times. You just keep screeching that it's a self evident fact.

@ZssMetc @tmtulcs @avidseries Really what this whole thing comes down to is that you feel cognitive dissonance when I point out the reality that right wing news outlets are unreliable as a *rule* when it comes to their fact based reporting. And non traditional sources that the right consumes are even worse.

@bunchonumb3rs @tmtulcs @avidseries Is not empirically false, NYT readers just know all the bs platitudes like "white supremacy is the biggest threat to the galaxy besides global warming and AR-15s" which don't actually hold up to scrutiny, but the academics doing these studies agree, so they rank them higher.

@ZssMetc @tmtulcs @avidseries You think someone that reads Breitbart is just as informed as someone who reads the NYT, biases aside. I’ve told you a dozen times now that is empirically false.

@bunchonumb3rs @tmtulcs @avidseries That's not what your gay little chart showed at all. It just showed bias and falsely suggested that the bias at NYT was minimal while accurately suggesting that Breitbart bias was maximal. As for knowledge of historical and various trivial facts, both audiences rank low.

@ZssMetc @tmtulcs @avidseries Again, despite any bias you feel that occurs a reader of the NYT is more informed on the *facts* than a reader of Breitbart. All the data we have on this subject confirms it. You’re just choosing to ignore that data. You can’t debate bro yourself out of this reality.

@bunchonumb3rs @tmtulcs @avidseries Well no, I'm saying that they are just as bad as NYT, which is a pretty harsh insult. The exact opposite of defending. I'm not surprised that you didn't pick up on me having a low opinion of NYT, though.

@ZssMetc @tmtulcs @avidseries You absolutely are defending Breitbart. You’re literally arguing that Breitbart and the NYT are comparable as fact based news sources, which is laughable. That implicitly requires that you elevate Breitbart. It’s pathetic, really.

@bunchonumb3rs @tmtulcs @avidseries But they don't report anything false. Their articles might openly portray republicans as the good guys and democrats as the bad guys, but you couldn't point to anything they've reported that wasn't true. So why is NYT a better source to be informed?

@bunchonumb3rs @tmtulcs @avidseries Again, I'm not defending Breitbart. I'm saying that NYT is every bit as propagandist but with different aims and with a much stronger attempt to present themselves as objective. What's pathetic is you pretending that it's not the case. They are corporate trash.

@ZssMetc @tmtulcs @avidseries The NYT heavily screens their comment section lol. Breitbart feeds their audience “information” that they want to hear, with the goal of reinforcing their biases. I can’t believe you’re seriously trying to make this argument it’s really quite pathetic.

@bunchonumb3rs @tmtulcs @avidseries Yes. They have a right wing audience, they know it and aren't shy about it. But did they report anything erroneous or false? And if we play this game, can't I easily find left wing crazies in the NYT comment section saying Trump works for Putin?

Daniel@bunchonumb3rs·
@ZssMetc @tmtulcs @avidseries Now go check the comment section on that Breitbart article. Breitbart has cultivated an audience that is eager to engage in election denialism. That isn’t an accident, it’s intentional, and it’s an insidious form of propaganda. The AP doesn’t engage in that practice.

@bunchonumb3rs @tmtulcs @avidseries Well I'm trying to understand why NYT is a better source than breitbart and so far all you've done is say "because everyone knows it except stupid people" which is obviously a stupid argument. Both are propaganda, but with different aims.
